Dancing On Ice is back! Time to get your skates on #1

So the Strictly glitter has settled for another year but to fill the void we have the new series of DOI starting this Sunday at 6pm on ITV1.

Our presenters will be Phil & Holly and our judges are Jason Gardiner (he's the Craig!), Torvill and Dean, and Ashley Banjo (from Diversity).

There are 12 brave stars taking to the ice this year. ’Coronation Street’ actors Anthony Cotton and Brooke Vincent lead the way, alongside ‘Hollyoaks’ star Stephanie Waring, Good Morning Britain’s weather presenter Alex Beresford, Love Islander Kem Cetinay, former ‘Great British Bake Off’ champ Candice Brown, singer Lemar, rugby player Max Evans, former ‘X Factor’ contestant Jake Quickenden, Olympian Perri Shakes-Drayton, presenter Donna Air and Bucks Fizz member Cheryl Baker.

There has already been injury - Lemar has replaced cricketer Monty Panesar who literally crashed out with a broken ankle...ouch!

So come and join us...there will be dancing , there will be ice and there will be thread mascots

I have belatedly realised there are two Banjo brothers in it, not one who is seen sitting on the judging panel and then bombs across to be interviewed by Phil and Holly about the social media stuff overlooking the training rink .
And re Holly, why does she always hold her arms in that awkward position in front of her?!

I wondered if her arms were like that as it makes them look thinner?

Sassy - How's the mascots? - can you tell Octo that her Squid Ink Gin was THE BUSINESS and I need more!

I'm also still finding hamster fuzz and little short greasy penguin feathers all over the house (I know - it says more about my slatternly habits housekeeping than anything else, but I'd love to know what the little buggers were up too while I was in the kitchen crying and chewing the handle of the bread knife cooking their favourite dishes.

Donna Air is one of those slebs who is stunningly beautiful, knows it, and feels she doesn't need anything else (eg talent, personality, good manners etc). She's also something of a has-been - though TBH I think really she's a never-quite-was.

I haven't caught up with my recordings so can't comment on anything else except what a twat AC is.

Speaking of birthdays, it was DDs yesterday and even as we speak her cake is currently in the oven ready for her party tomorrow. I may have aged several decades myself by Sunday night after tomorrow's efforts herding kids!

I had a Sainsbury delivery a couple of weeks ago. I had ordered - quite clearly, as is my won't - 2* carrots. They sent 2 Kg! To be fair, they did refund me the £1.25 when they checked and saw it as their cock-up. I am sick of the sight of carrot soup . . .

Surely Octo can be trusted with Donkey (I wrote Dinky then) poop scooping, She has enough arms to scoop and chuck and scarcely notice it? However, do not trust FuzzyKiwi with it...I fear it would NOT GO WELL.
