I've finished The Crown, House of Cards, OITNB, Grace & Frankie, Stranger Things, Mad Men, The Good Wife... what else might I like?

OP posts:
Samcro · 11/01/2018 22:49

oh I love Heartland, and seen Outsiders

aliasjoey · 11/01/2018 23:40

Got Netflix about 6 months ago, and now watch almost nothing else

I love:
OITNB
Mad Men
Wanted (Australian road movie with fantastic acting)
The Crown
The Big Bang Theory
Plebs
Bluestone 42

As a family (with DD15) we have watched:
Stranger Things - we loved this, and it was nice to watch together
The OA (not too keen on this, but again it’s nice to find something we can watch as a family)
Friends

The great thing about Netflix is there’s something for everyone and if you get bored it’s okay to stop watching! I have given up on:
The unbreakable kimmy Schmidt
Victoria
Alias Grace
Medici
Weeds
Arrested Development

whyhastherumgone · 11/01/2018 23:58

watched a lot of those already mentioned just wanted to add:

orphan black
brooklyn nine nine - very stupid and it took me a few episodes to work out whether i loved it or hated it but i'm hooked
friends
Riverdale

DH watched Peaky Blinders over Christmas ( I was not impressed all swearing and shagging Hmm )

Then DH and DS watched Black Mirror (I watched some over New Year, really liked it)

DH watched the first series of The End of the F**king World ( the guy from BM Shut Up&Dance is in it , geeky 'n' awkward Grin )

H watched Stranger Things (I couldn't get into it myself)

catlover1987 · 12/01/2018 00:11

Just finished the sinner and it was fantastic. I won't give anything away. Just watch it!

irishe · 12/01/2018 00:28

Forgot about Godless - brilliant!

Heartofglass12345 · 12/01/2018 17:09

I loved the killing, series 2 was a bit slow and they probably couldve made one series out of series 1&2, but the ending is good, and series 3&4 are really good.
I loved pretty little liars lol
I'm watching friends from the beginning at the moment Grin

PorklessPie · 12/01/2018 17:20

I've just started watching 3%, only on the third episode but really liking it so far.

rosybell · 12/01/2018 19:02

Glad to see the love for Offspring here! No one I know irl has seen it but I loved it- although the final series didn't need to be made imo.

Also - Love
Dark
Black mirror

& loads more. Hardly ever watch normal tv now.

badbadhusky · 13/01/2018 13:55

I’m torn over Offspring. It was definitely a guilty pleasure, but its hard to credit that the lead (name already forgetten) is a super capable obstetrician and yet so dim and ditsy in her personal life, however entertaining she was. I deliberately haven’t watched the final season ‘cause I read it was a bum note.

I like that Patrick the midwife has a much better, more masculine role in Glitch.

PoisonousSmurf · 13/01/2018 13:58

'A series of Unfortunate Events'. Black Mirror, Star Trek Discovery and Stranger Things.

Luisa77 · 14/01/2018 10:19

Lovesick - so funny and heartfelt. Not only is there a great ‘will they, won’t they’ story, but the depiction of the friendships is great. It’s a bit below the radar but I hope more people become aware of and watch it. We’ve just binged all 3 series. I love it

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 14/01/2018 10:39

I really enjoyed Godless and Mindhunter. I also liked the Punisher but I can see that it might not be everyone's cup of tea.

Designated Survivor is weird. The plot gets more and more outlandish, and Keifer Sutherland seems to solve half the world's problems by being sincere. I'm pretty sure that's not how international diplomacy works.

sweetkitty · 14/01/2018 11:11

Binging on Narcos just now

VivaLeBeaver · 14/01/2018 16:20

Currently watching the American version of The Killing. Not keen on subtitles so never seen the other one.

ferriswheel · 14/01/2018 19:55

Loved Designated Survivor.

badbadhusky · 15/01/2018 19:19

Started watching Lava Field (originally 'Hamarinn'), which is an Icelandic crime drama (subtitled). The scenery is great, the story a little bit meh but the biggest surprise is puzzling over the female cop for bit, IMDBing her & finding out she plays Elizabeth in Poldark. It's deeply confusing to have someone completely out of the context you are used to seeing them in. I also want to go and live in the murder victim's fabulous modernist house with its superb views - my heart aches for that little clutter, crammed as my life is with Lego and wall-to-wall toys.

charliebear78 · 15/01/2018 20:54

We are watching and enjoying The Killing right now.
Tried watching Riverdale-gave up! Same with Orphan Black.
Watched the first episode of The Sinner, will probably carry on with it at some point.

TowerRingInferno · 16/01/2018 16:14

JUst noticed that there’s a new series of Rita (Scandi teacher drama). Will be binge-watching that next.

boxyfingo · 16/01/2018 19:29

I loved Rita too so will definitely watch that.
Loved Godless, currently enjoying Breaking Bad and just watched all 4 series of Line of Duty (on iplayer at the moment I think).
Peaky Blinders is fantastic but lots of sex so maybe not one for the DCs!Santa Clarita Diet is funny, gory and quite a bit of sex too.

LoadsaBlusher · 16/01/2018 19:47

Just finished River dale series 1
Watched a few Black Mirror
Loved the ark angel one

123namechanged · 16/01/2018 20:29

Riverdale
Once Upon A Time

Hooked on Reign at the minute but it's coming off Netflix on 11th Feb.
It's about Mary, Queen of Scots.
I've been binging big time!

mammmamia · 18/01/2018 07:49

Oh I didn't know Reign was coming off Netflix! I'm on series 3. Will have to binge as well!

badbadhusky · 18/01/2018 08:14

Reign got me through two very boring weeks’ post-surgery sick leave. Absolute puff but a guilty pleasure. Grin

Childrenofthestones · 18/01/2018 09:40

Black Mirror.
I can't stand Charlie Brooker but this is brilliant.
