What are you watching on Netflix??

I've finished The Crown, House of Cards, OITNB, Grace & Frankie, Stranger Things, Mad Men, The Good Wife... what else might I like?

Oh and Mindhunter is also very good.

There was a half hour documentary recently about extreme winter surfers trying to get the perfect winter surfing shot with northern lights for a surfing magazine. I can’t remember what it was called, but the scenery, the northern lights and the ferocity of the Icelandic made it a worthwhile watch. The surfers were bozos, though.

Manhunt: Unabomber is very good - star turns by Sam Worthington and Paul Bettany.

Godless was fantastic, probably the best thing I’ve seen all year on Netflix.

Ferocity of the Icelandic winter - I wouldn’t want to slur the people, who are really lovely.

I watched GLOW off the back of a MN recommendation. It was pure feelgood 80s cheese and captured women’s sisterhood and female grooming rituals with a greater degree of honesty than is usually seen on TV.

I found the surfing documentary - it’s called Under an Arctic Sky.

There’s another good one, Resurface, about a US veterans intervention that gets war veterans (including amputees) with PTSD, many suicidal & at the end of their tether, surfing off Malibu - it was both sobering and uplifting. It won a Tribeca film festival award.

(Gotta love the wildcards the crazy Netflix algorithms throw up sometimes.)

Just finished ozark, been a reasonable watch. Seem to watch a lot of drug related programmes recently 😱 Loved peaky blinders.

Black Mirror - some better than others.
Dirk Gently's Detective Agency - best if you've read or are aware of the books as it's a bit niche. Q doctor who like, but chaotic and it all comes together at the end.

Orphan black is amazing!

Currently: Friends S2, Ep 20, The Good Place S2, Ep 8 and The Sinner S1 Ep 3.

Bloodline - my personal all-time favourite classi, up there with Breaking Bad
American Vandal - quirky & somewhat puerile, but I enjoyed it.
Joan Didion documentary
Jack Whitelaw & his father Gap Year - strangely moving at the end.

Is anyone watching Dark? It's great if you liked The OA or Stranger Things.

I enjoyed Jack White Whitelaw and his father but couldn't get into bloodline

And yes I agree the Netflix interface is terrible
why can't they sort that out😕🤔

Think they need to sort out the my list function
you should be able to make the list of things that you want to watch in different genres otherwise the list gets massive and you lose the will to live trying to scroll through it all...🤤
