New year, new thread! Looking forward to tonight's episode ...

And on another note... does anyone actually understand what the trial is about? I don't understand how it is relevant to Jacs shot wounds.

When Jac got shot / resultant surgery it caused a lot of scar tissue inside which was causing the extreme pain.

They can do an "abrasion" I think ots called where they go in and remove the scar tissue but in Jacs case there was so much and so deep that removing it affected (I assume) the nerves in her spin column and so she lost the feeling in her leg.
The trail is basically putting in a patch of artificial something into (I think) the spinal column which grafts itself (so cannot be removed) and helps grow healthy tissue again. By repairing the damaged tissue form the op t gave her back sensation in her legs so she could walk

I think Granny was meant to show about bed blocking because of inadequate support / patients unwilling to accept support, as well as being a set piece to facilitate Dom and thingy.

You'd think the way they all hang out with their family patients it was a quiet little country hospital

And as for Sacha he’s a cuddly teddy bear. And can someone please give goody 2 shoes lofty back to casualty he’s so bloody boring but his granny has me in stitches. Also ship that ceo and bring back Hansen. Fletch needs to become a surgeon and Bernie should be given a level one trauma centre again

Well! Ric and Serena get locked in the pub, something akin to mayhem runs through the wards, Duvet gets a bit short of breath thanks to an agitated patient, Jac bounces back and Fletch gets dumped..... oh and Grandma Lofty shares a packed lunch with HH.

The elderly chap did nearly make me cry though.

The old boy didn't move me like he did you, frazzled - the moment my eyes were a bit misty was when Serena was introduced to Serena.

A better episode this week, although I don't want Donna putting the moves on Duvet. At last Lofty's gran has been despatched - all that saccharine was cloying. Loved Ric and Serena working together and ending up locked in at Albies.

Henrik felt a bit crowbarred in tonight.
And that CEO needs to bleach her brain, seriously, that 'entrance' line was so out of place. Hurrah that she's let Fletch go.

I'm waiting for Ric to try and make a move on Serena, he so jas the hots for her and he's not had a lady in a while

If he does give it a go in sure she will turn him down since she's so In lurrreve with Bernie sadly. I just don't find Serena and Bernie believable. Maybe because Bernie as a character in herself is so unbelievable. Plus I've ALWAYS thought Serena and Ric would be well suited.

So, the feisty granny stereo-type finally frees up the bed in AAU. I wish my old Dad had a fraction of the kindness shown to her when he was in hospital.

If Fletch thought so much of Jac, why did he shag Abi in the first place? I was glad Abi dumped him before he cheated on her with Jac but now I'm thinking he did that man thing of making his feelings for Jac so obvious that he got dumped rather than having to be honest with Abi and do the decent thing by ending things with her before going after Jac again.

And I was shouting and Donna and Fletch “WHAT ABOUT YOUR FECKING KIDS” as Donna agreed to do spontaneous overtime and Fletch was casually suggesting drinkies and a curry after work!?!?

Was the old man Bishop Brennan from Father Ted? I suppose he’d be ancient by now though. Very similar. Minus the Irish accent

I just loved that Jac had the final say in the episode. Such a Jac thing to say too. Just hope Gas Kill's implant holds off on affecting her for a while.
