There could have been a really good storyline around Abi, if properly done. Instead it is being shoved in, here and there, between ridiculous scenes. Jake Wood / Max is playing a blinder IMO. All the more pity that the storyline is not being given proper airtime.

Neither Phil nor (I presume) Vincent would have agreed to such a poorly thought out heist, surely. It was totally farcical, I thought, when Aidan had a gun pointed at Vincent, and Phil had a gun pointed at Aidan. I wonder if the actors were cringing at some of the nonsense that they had to deliver in those scenes.
I think I need to stop watching.

Apart from anything, as I say much too often , who would move all their cash around in a van with four armed guards? Surely not even a gangster would do that? So the whole premise is ludicrous. Presumably they thought "how can we have a heist/bring back some gangsters to eastenders, involve a load of favourite characters but not have them go to jail, but let it be not too morally reprehensible that they get off? Assuming they do. Blah!

As an aside, I thought Masood's uncle had a lovely face. I, too had a soft spot for Mas, but went right off him when he had the fling with that young girl from Newcastle, or wherever. That was creepy.

Also, I agree about Kim, Brutus. Tameka can do serious very well, as we've seen glimpses of in the past, when she worried about having hiv a long time ago now. Can't really see, at the moment, why she and Vincent are together. They could explore their relationship much better, with a more complex storyline, with her bringing more to the relationship, being some kind of strength that he needs, and vice versa.

Even if it was as simple as Kim being a real whiz of businesswoman.

Trouble is, they have brought back really terrible gangsters! at least steve owen, phil and grunt had a bit of savvy, this lot dont.

phil only got involved so he wouldnt have to do housework or put up louise's shelves and was bored. Keanu had no experience of this type of thing and Vincent should have known better really.

Eastenders has had its fair share of rubbish gangsters. Who have been the worst having asked that all the gangsters names have gone out of my head. ?

Steve Owen was blown up in a car. he wasnt that bad ( might be rose covered glasses though!) there was an Eddie who run the Vic for a while, he was murdered in the pub.
JWB is a posh gangster i guess - although i think we are to assume he is dead now? I loved Grant as he played the hard man really well - Phil is good at that too. Dirty Den was the original one, he was okay until he came back from the dead, then he was terrible.
The one Kathy had stalking her ( Gavin?) he wasnt great either. Grant wouldnt have stood for Aidan's nonsense.

I don't have a scooby what's happening, either, but I enjoy shouting at the telly, e.g. 'What happened to eviction day?' 'Why are they letting Halfwit work? How come he would even know how or where to place orders?!'

Is Halfwit there as Whitney's new love interest? She wants a grown man yet falls for the commitment shy boys. We'd call them HalfWhit.

If Whitney goes out with him, she is mad. she was with Lee, thats enough to stop you going out with anyone associated with him i would have thought, but Whitless isnt good at weeding out the lost causes.

Also, know it's "money for Abi", but am I naive to think Max should be handing back the property deeds at knock down prices or that the deeds should be in the hands of the police? Especially as the Vic sale of freehold was fraudulent anyway? I know the Carter's committed the fraud but it's still a police matter, isn't it? Surely that document of sale was therefore invalid?
