Bingo cards at the ready everyone for Saturday night!

It's a ballet move , it needs the accents on the spelling.
Debbie has the correct fundamental ballet training and that underpins all dance.
It's why Shirley raves about her. Even at advanced level students will continue with ballet because it is so fundamental, when they train for other performing arts subjects.
It's like learning to read and write. It helps with all other subjects.
It's why Joe was wobbling all over the place last week and was overmarked, he doesn't possess that basic quality yet I think he will win because it's a popularity contest rather than a dance competition.

A 'develope is the unfolding of the leg from the ankle to knee (with pointed foot of course) then out. Yes Debbie has amazing skills (very few 20 yr. olds could do what she does).

Jo does have an easy ride it's not fair at all.

I agree with everyone saying Joe has an easier ride. Debbie is excellent and I really want her to win, I'd also be fed up with another dude winning so I'm team Debs all the way!!!

IMO Strictly can be what we want it to be!! I like the contestants who have really worked hard from almost nothing , that's why I liked Ore last year But this year it really is time for a woman to win, I favour Gemma! I love it's campness and basic good nature. Not sure about the audience clapping out of tune though!

I look forward to seeing who the costume department will think ' oh fuck I forgot about X's dance!'

I'm still not over the ginger wig someone in Hair and Makeup thought would be a great idea to plonk on Debbeh's head a few weeks back

Surely they have a box full of tasteless, ill-fitting, inappropriate crap spare costumes they could use when they forget the dancer's requirements yet again. I think they're all drunk or have been at Bruno's stash.

Just checking in for the Final. I'm not particularly backing any of the finalists to win, I think they all deserve to be there in the Final but I'm just not filled with excitement about it as I usually am, this series has fallen a bit flat for me.

I'm sure I'm in a minority of 1 but I actually liked Jay's Showdance.

Giovanni did a contempowaft Showdance with Georgia May Foote, if he does the same style with Debbie that may go against them.

Joe Varney has been spectacular this year.

That was a wonderful ITT. They all came across so well I sort of want them all to win. Normally there's at least one finalist I really can't stick but this bunch are lovely.

cassandra That makes two of us...I have returned to Jay's showdance many times (I play it over whatever my current favourite song is ):
At the time, because it had a strong opening and an audience reaction to the charleston bit but never had any of the jive kicks and flicks added which would have created even more audience reaction, I was underwhelmed. Particularly as I knew Kellie was really going to be going for it (I love swing and lindy hop but that routine was too frenetic and the outfit and wig did absolutely nothing for her. I know because of the star wars charleston she never got to have a 20s style dress but it made her look really bulky/masculine and a polka green swing flaired skirt would have worked much better).
But having seen Jay's freestyle multiple times since, it is perfect in its execution. He makes it look easy and effortless. It is just such a classy routine and has now become my favourite freestyle.

No idea why channel 5 cashing in obvs but it's Strictly Special night starting with Before they were famous... I know it will be pants but am hoping to see footage I haven't seen before and that maybe it will be so bad it's good, particularly as I missed Tony Beak on Kate Derbyshire this morning.
