Bingo cards at the ready everyone for Saturday night!

I do think the whole show needs a makeover and a fresh format/presenters. It's not that different to when it first started.
It's all got a bit tired.

These threads have been v amusing already ....I have a feeling this Saturday's will be a lot of fun!

I'd love Gemma to win, she won't though. She's improved so much and I really relate to her as a complete novice. I always prefer the ones that aren't brilliant, but start crap and get better.

I'd be happy with Joe winning. Wouldn't want Alexandra or Debbie to win cos I can't warm to them. Maybe the fawning of the judges, don't know.

I agee the cheesy VTs should go next year. I'd also like the results on Sat night. Happy with the line up though.

Tess Daly spoils it for me. I would prefer Zoe Ball to present ideally. I am sure TD is lovely and all that but she might be better off on Loose Women maybe.

Although if I had my way Emma Willis would present everything on telly.

Has anyone said ‘friends for life’? I think that celebrities saying that about their pro partners should get a mention on the scd bingo card!

I think they need some sort of VT to sort the dance floor out for the next couple. But I don't mind watching them rehearse. Just none of the "let's go to the zoo and dance with animals" stuff.

I can't stand Tess. Can't see them getting rid though.

If there has to be a VT lets see them actually training. Not being visited by their kids/granny etc. Or being sent off to do something to help them with the dance supposedly.

Just watching It Takes Two and it's reminded me how much I dislike the round in the final where the judges pick a dance (Debbie's got the Salsa). It always whiffs a bit of producer interference- I found Louise snoozeworthy last year, but she was utterly stitched up when she had to redo her Cha Cha Cha when the guys got crowdpleasing ballroom routines just before the vote opened.

Ooh - where are the judges’ choices listed if we know Debbie’s got the salsa? I thought they weren’t announced til tomorrow.

I think they're announcing the choices day by day as the couple are have their interviews- Zoe mentioned the Salsa in Debbie and Giovanni's chat this evening. Think tomorrow we learn the showdance tunes!

Salsa?! I was hoping they'd pick her rumba or paso or AT.

So why do they not pick the couple's best dance as judges choice?

I'm so gutted I'm going to be away and not able to watch live! And I will have to avoid social media for 3 days so I can watch when I get back

Oubliette, from the hints they were giving, I think it's likely Debbie and Gio have chosen AT as their favourite dance. But the judges going for Salsa is a bit cos fast Latin is just not her thing. Darcey and Shirley rather amusingly said in their interview not five minutes before this that they've gone for early week dances where they can show improvement (the Salsa was Week 8, ha) and that particular dance had mistakes.

It's not that different to when it first started.

Sadly Sparkling, the bits they did change were the bits that would have been better to keep - for instance

1. Proper videos of the training sessions (not these rubbish "jokey" VT's

2. Just doing two dances in each show, with half of the competitors being assigned each dance, so we could properly compare. They then swapped dances a couple of weeks later, so ALL competitors ended up doing the same dances overall.

3. Lovely insight into how the dresses etc were designed for each sleb dancer (and the outfits were really lovely - not the charity shop rubbish with glued on sequins they have now)

4. Proper dancing - strict rules about lifts, particular steps having to be incorporated etc - and no "faffing abaht"

5. Results on the same night half an hour or so after the main show - none of this pretending it was yesterday rubbish

I will have to avoid social media for 3 days so I can watch when I get back

This has happened to me before. I recommend ear-plugs, dark glasses and sitting with your head in a bucket.

You know it makes sense.
