I can't believe the Stacey/Max thing either and how close she was to his face and how close she came to kissing him because can you imagine how much he'd smell??

Living/sleeping rough, wearing the same clothes day in, day out, not brushing his teeth, stinking of sweat, dried spittle all over his face from his roaring arguement with Ian.... it doesn't bear thinking about.

Were they though? I always saw Martin as a convenience choice for Stacey. She was interested in Kush, but he was with someone else and Martin was interested in her.

I just don't understand what stacey sees in Max he is repulsive.

Max is a womaniser, lots of women like that. He was also an affair from her youth, which must have left quite an impression on her. If she was willing to cheat on her husband with her father in law, she must have seen quite a lot in Max.

Two characters who are as unlikeable as each other. I absolutely hated the LB character, I couldn't stand her.

Lucy was quite horrible, that's true. She was also an adult.

Yeah, shagging your daughters best friend is a bit unsavoury but I wouldn’t say grim.

I saw a bit of Gladiator last night and thought that we should now call Max ' Maximus ' what with all this revenge stuff going on!
yep, he really looked adorable with a bloodied head and red rimmed eyes and boozy breath. Stacey is one crazy woman to get involved with him again - lets hope she sees the light! soon.

True. Stacey was never into Martin. He pursued her. She was awful to him when they were supposed to be dating. It really was a case of ‘he will do’. They got a bit closer when she was pregnant with Arthur but he irritates her too easily. With her small kids, where she gets the energy for even looking at another man is beyond me!

Omg Karen's Navaity narration 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 - I can't help it but I just love her character. Also loved her 'speech' to her kids.

Something that occurred to me when Karen was finally sorting out the phone business - why on earth hasn't Jane made contact with anyone else to get the message to Ian that her departure was forced on her?

So very disappointed in Stacy. Max is only using her ! When Max was with that other woman, was he thinking about Stacy then ?!!! It’s only when he’s lonely and no one wants to bother with him that’s when he goes back to good old Stacy.

The storyline is ridiculous. As if you'd cheat on your living room floor when your husband could walk in at any minute?

TBF though - I never felt Stacey was made for the role of housewife and mother and having excitingly naughty rendez-vous is much more in keeping with her character. At least tonight we saw more to her than the boring character she has become.

Loved Karen as the Angel in her one-sie!!!!

Hope Karen is not having beans on toast for Christmas Lunch and no presents- we need a break from constant misery. How can you have 5 kids and lived in flat last 20years and not own a single decoration!

Oh blimey, now I fancy Max, but even I was put off my mince pie tonight when they cut to the shagging. Even a longterm Max lover like me has not found him attractive this week.

Poor Martin. I've always wanted Max and Stacey to be together, but not like this. Martin's sad little face holding Hope at the nativity.

Do you think Stacey is the only person Max wouldn't cheat on? He's such a womaniser I do wonder. Lacey Turner and Jake Wood are both such great actors - I think that's why the chemistry is always good with these two.

Stacey missed performing in the nativi-E with her daughter to cheat on Martin. Great Christmas spirit.
