He's adooorrrable !! I just want to pick him up and squeeze him! He's a beautiful child.

Poor Harvey, my heart really goes out to him. I like Peter and Katie, and this show gives an interesting insight into their lives. Harvey can see more and talk more than I realised.

Did anyone watch this on ITV2 last night?

Pete is amazing with Harvey, and it's so sweet that Harvey calls Pete Daddy. When Harvey had his scalding accident, and Pete was explaining that the medics had to strip away all the burnt skin, but because of all Harvey's other medical conditions they couldn't give him an anaesthetic.. oww, that poor boy.

southeastastra · 21/04/2007 21:45

oliveoil · 21/04/2007 21:48

TOSSERS!!!!!

MABS · 21/04/2007 21:48

Thanks Nodders.

oliveoil · 21/04/2007 21:53

yes but I am devoted but I don't tell OK or ITV

(not that they would be interested buy anyway)

MABS · 21/04/2007 21:55

do you have a severly disabled child olive? were you in public arena and had loads of interest before baby was even born?

hereiam · 21/04/2007 21:58

Someone wrote Jordan is normal and likeable.... eh?!! What on earth is normal about her.... she prostitutes herself to the public for a fat fee... hmmm, very normal. As for likeable... what on earth is likeable about her. If she is such a wonderful mother... why subject her children to constant media attention? For money, that's why.
And Kaloo20... I will tone down what I say here... but to have your 4.5 DS idolise her in a scrapbook is plain bizarre TBH.

oliveoil · 21/04/2007 21:59

no to both

but there are other celebrities that tick both boxes that are not all over the place

they live and breathe through the media and I find it quite distasteful tbh

I don't dislike them personally, just what they stand for in our celebrity obsesssed times

MABS · 21/04/2007 22:04

not getting in to this as she's a good friend, but i will just add that the one thing she doesn't shout about is the tens of thousands she gives to charities, particularly in the vision sector. A lot of others make sure everyone knows or they don't do it. nite.

southeastastra · 21/04/2007 22:16

tell katie i love her from me mabs!

AitchTwoOh · 21/04/2007 22:18

just as well she tells you so you can tell us then...

mummytosteven · 21/04/2007 22:19

I have a soft spot for them, they seem such devoted parents in difficult circumstances. may be part of the publicity motivation is to make sure they can afford the best possible care/education for Harvey in future.

hereiam · 21/04/2007 22:22

AitchTwooH haha!

southeastastra · 21/04/2007 22:23

if i had her assets though i would have done the same thing. is it any worse than siphoning money in the city?

AitchTwoOh · 21/04/2007 22:23

gawd, all we know about them is what they tell us in the hag mags or when they camp it up for the cameras... we don't have a clue about what they're really like. we certainly don't have a clue whether she's a good, bad or indifferent mother. i'm really amazed at all this, how can people be such sheep?

southeastastra · 21/04/2007 22:39

it's entertainment that's all

AitchTwoOh · 21/04/2007 22:41

well then stop talking about them as if they're real...

southeastastra · 21/04/2007 22:49

er ok then

AitchTwoOh · 21/04/2007 22:54

good. next...

It was me that wrote that Katie comes across as normal and likeable, and I stand by that opinion. MN is fast becoming a place where you're jumped on for expressing an opinion or preference that some posters don't like, and it's a shame. People would do well to remember that this is a public forum, and there are going to be vast differences in opinions, likes, dislikes, etc. and it's not fair to keep jumping down people's throats all the time. It's happened each time I've logged on in the last few days and it'a a pain in the arse.

Anyway, back to Katie, yes, compared to a lot of celebs, she does come across as likeable. I recently read her second book and she was very open and honest about their lives, including the way she makes money. So what? Good for her, at least she's not sponging off the state. She's far preferable to Kate Moss, for example.

baffled at the 'no doubt-ness' that she's a good mum... she may or may not be. she's definitely got a lot on her plate dealing with Harvey but tbh we have no idea who's dealing with the kids on a day to day basis. actually, i really don't get all this 'good mum' business, most people are, aren't they? i can't really think of anyone i'd be so cheeky as to call a bad mum.

MummyPenguin · 22/04/2007 12:51

Kate Moss springs to mind again.

MP, you seem to be losing sight of the fact that there are others of us equally entitled to the the opinion that she seems abnormal and unlikeable. just cos you appear to be in the minority doesn't mean that you are being jumped on, for goodness sakes. sheesh. am getting a bit tired of all this 'MN's like this or that' business...

AitchTwoOh · 22/04/2007 12:53

gawd MP, by the same token i'd say that given that we don't know all the facts about how KM is with her child it would be unreasonable to adjudicate her 'good' or 'bad'. as it happens i know some people who work a lot with her and they've always reported that she's a good sort.
