I am. I thought the film version was very good so not sure how it will compare.

Not got into it yet.

Never read book or seen film. Totally lost as to who’s who and half woman look the same.

I don't know it either, but I love a period drama. It's got to do a bit more to grip me yet though.

Finding it hard to take Tracey Ullman seriously and surely she is far too tanned??

Can't stand Tracy Ullman which is putting me off.

They do all look very similar!

I keep expecting her to break into her Angela Merkel impersonation!

Strange to see Julia Ormond playing the family matriarch as I remember her being touted as the Next Big Thing in the 90s with Sabrina and Legends of the Fall.

Julia Ormond as Mrs Wilcox - I remember when she was the new young thing and now she's all matronly!

I thought I might like it, but I think I am suffering from not knowing the story and I can't get it at all. Women look the same, everyone is mumbling and the music is too loud (and I'm not that old!). I am lost and bored as a result.

BBC seem to have forgotten that some people haven't seen the film or read the book.
