Will lauren find out Stephen lied

And that her sister abi is preg with his baby

What will happen to jane and max

Will there be a funeral for Stephen

What else is happening?

I really really miss Harry Hill on TV Burp making fun of Eastenders. He was always pointing out stuff like the oven interior shot.

I just read that the woman crushed to death in Gunpowder (grim) is the actress who plays Ritchie, Phil's brief.

For some inexplicable reason they had a phase where they showed things like fish fingers cookkng inside the oven.

Gosh, I said to dh she looked familiar! Ritchie used to get the Mitchells out of the mire many a time ! Her and Marcus were very attentive lawyers. That gunpowder drama is grusome.

I can’t imagine Sausage getting a proper legal job. Imagine getting accused of murder and having him argue your case. However, despite having a bog standard law degree and no internships, I bet he lands some job with a big city firm.

The actress who plays Stacey's social worker also plays a social worker in Casualty but has a different name.

I wonder if guilt will get the better of Bernie and she will tell Stacey about Jane. They seriously need to wrap up this Max storyline soon, it is getting more like a pantomime every episode.

Do wonder what sausage will do given he’s about only person who went to uni and got a degree. He just didn’t have the omph to get a real job or highly competive apprenctiahips In law firm.

If the Vic is doing the best it’s ever done then surely the bank would give a loan? Given there’s Shirely Mik Linda sausage mock and woody 3 of them could get proper job and easily bring in £3k a month towards a loan. They all live rent free so saving mega dosh.

Why did Linda feel so ill last week yet never went to a and e or GP? Have they forgotten that?

It’s ridiculous the Carters don’t get jobs. I know a couple of mums whose husbands run pubs. They both have part time jobs, one in care and one in a supermarket, and then do shifts at the pub as needed.

Does anyone have any idea when the SOC episodes will end? Every week I watch to the end of the credits to see if this dross will finally end and his name keeps on popping up.

I have watched EE since I was a teenager in the 90's and the soap has gone up and down at times but this is the lowest it has ever been. Story lines around bins, buses collapsing on people who then jump up and eat pies; the stories are verging from ridiculous to banal. There is no consistency in plot. As pp have pointed out, would Ian not be suspicious of the man he caused to be locked up for a year now being his best buddy? Denise was rummaging in bins for food, then Patrick came home, she is minding her sister's child and somehow working for the council and money is no longer an issue. No need to ever revisit meeting Cora at the food bank or following up on that plot. Won't even mention Kush going from his hospital bed to eating in the cafe and his mother taking his place in the bed. No continuity whatsoever.

The Carters are the worst thing to ever happen to the Queen Vic. I feel like a British institution has been defiled by having them in place. The whinging and whining storyline of Mick the plank and "L" and their famous love affair. The boring Sausage who never serves any point in the episode. The Whit affair where she made numerous plays for her FIL, L & Mick are seeing a counselor over it, but yet she is now back living with them. Why is she living there!!

I want the heady days of Dirty Den, Pat and Peggy fighting, the Mitchells ruling the square. I want the thrill of the brothers fighting over Sharon, the Di Marcos vs the Mitchells. I want Little Mo and her husband with the iron. That still haunts me now. I want the humour of Kat and Alfie finally getting it on and Alfie's hunt to find condoms. Hilarious Eastenders, gripping Eastenders, thrilling Eastenders, not boring bins and PSA Eastenders!!

There are some amazing actors in EE and I do feel that some of them are so disgusted with the soap they are just dialling it in. Ian didn't even grieve a tiny bit for someone he raised as a son. I have grieved more for ice cream that has dripped off my 99 cone than he did for Stephen. They are wasting the talents of great actors like Ian, Max, Jane, Stacey, Phil & co by insulting them with these stories. They are under-utilizing the humour of Kim and the wonder that is Vincent. They are a great couple together with GBP and there is humour in being a family that could be used.

Now I feel a sense of catharsis by getting that off my chest!! I will go back to lurking on this thread!

Little Mo’s husband was Trevor. Up until Gavin and now the Weyland storyline EE has had excellent dark villains. But FGS don’t mention the dross that is Alfie and Kat. I can’t bear them!

I think EE did them an injustice. Kat was the tart with a heart and Alfie was a cheeky chappie. Then the writers had to inflict them with the doom and gloom of EE and they became awful, miserable and depressing. I hate the way characters whole personalities can change in EE. If they are fun, happy and upbeat, please leave them that way!

Kat was too screechy, she took over from Bianca. And Alfie was terrible especially once he got into the Vic. Before that he was likeable enough.

It's ironic how laboured this whole Max's revenge is when they have other massive stories over and done with in an episode.

They've dug themselves a massive hole with it and they keep digging.
