I've just caught up and watched both eps. I'm loving it! I watched it first time round. I'm cringing though at some of the stuff she's doing.

I watched episode 1 last night, found it very irritating so decided to read the thread on here instead to see what happened next (and if it was worth hanging on in there - clearly it's not).

I heard Suranne Jones on the radio a few weeks ago talking about the programme and how the writer 'writes so well for women' - wtf?? I suppose she was paid a lot of money to star in this shite so maybe she's convinced herself that's true

Caught up on ep 2 last night after a long and boozy weekend away. I had to check on the thread today that I hadn't hallucinated the whole thing in an over tired haze.
Nope.
It's totally bonkers.
Of course I will continue to watch this week. It's like a soap for people who don't watch soaps and like nice homeware innit?

It's not crap! It's the best drama I've seen in yonks. On the edge of my seat every episode, and can hardly wait til the week after! Of course it's not realistic, it would be deathly dull if it was.

Then again I was also gripped by footballers wives back in t'day :-/

I thought it was a realistic portrayal of a woman sliding into insanity (been there, done that)

She is utterly helpless against Simon and will do anything to get he son back

Of course it's exaggerated- its telly!

I'm hoping like any story, they're bringing her down to build her back up bigger and stronger.

They won't/can't let him portray these qualities and get away with it
