Is anyone watching on channel 4?

OP posts:

I remember a show on to that demonstrated how to memorise a deck of cards. Some of the science ones were tricky though and I'm useless at anograms.

I think a proper genius would be the kid saying 'you know the Fibonacci sequence... I've spotted an error there...' or 'I've invented air con for the tube that works!'

LoyaltyAndLobster · 19/08/2017 20:17

Joshua to win.

CremeFresh · 19/08/2017 20:22

I think these kids are obviously very bright but it's the ability to use your brain for reasoning and application of your knowledge , not just remembering stuff.

I saw a programme ages ago about a young lad that thought he could cure cancer , when he spoke to the doctors it was clear that he had a good knowledge on the subject but was unable to actually analyse or debate it.

I think Rahul lacks social skills which in my book is right up there with being clever.

RainyDayBear · 19/08/2017 20:24

I liked how when Dylan had only got 13 his attitude was 'I did my best, what can you do' - I hate it when they are under so much pressure they clearly think a poor score is the end of the world.

CremeFresh · 19/08/2017 20:31

Poor Ronan is going to be burnt out by the time he's 13 !

Davros · 19/08/2017 20:32

I've gone right off Rahul. I like Ronan and Dylan. Don't mind Joshua

Petalflowers · 19/08/2017 20:40

I like Dylan. What an obscure subject he chose.

Roman has gone up in my estimation. His comments to Dylan seemed genuine and heartfelt.

CremeFresh · 19/08/2017 20:41

It's going to be a tie break

meltingmarshmallows · 19/08/2017 20:46

Joshua saying "good luck" and Rahoul's dad saying "THANK YOU" back ... He's awful. Poor Rahoul he isn't celebrating because it isn't being portrayed as his achievement.

@MelvinThePenguin Totally agree. Another example of the parents trying to take credit.

Parmaviolets13 · 19/08/2017 20:50

I mean I don't like to speak ill of children or their parents. But really not a fan of Rahul, or his dad.

Parma - totally agree, but obviously it has rubbed off on the son.

Did you see the Dad raise the trophy at the end for "his" victory! Cringe.

Fekko · 19/08/2017 20:59

Aww

MsPassepartout · 19/08/2017 21:00

Well done Rahul. Rahul's dad looked happier about it than Rahul did.

RTKangaMummy · 19/08/2017 21:01

OMG That man is awful

Taking it from his son then Lifting the trophy like that

How to win obnoxious dad award

Jayfee · 19/08/2017 21:02

oh no...i wanted ronan to win. wanted to slap rahuls dad ...stupid ass

user9512736123 · 19/08/2017 21:22

I felt like that about Rahul's Dad, totally obnoxious. I pity his son's teachers on parents evening.

user9512736123 · 19/08/2017 21:23

I switched off as soon as they said Rahul had won, I couldn't bear to see his dad be so smug - it sounds like I did the right thing!
