Strictly 2017 Celebs are being announced...

First one confirmed is Mollie King (the blonde one from The Saturday's)

Not sure when the next one will be announced, just hope it's not like last year where they dragged it out for weeks!

When they started hinting at "female comedian" I half thought for a moment that it might be Miranda Hart as she's such a super-fan, but then I remembered she's in Matilda in the West End at the moment (though currently ill).

Is anyone else annoyed at all of the people saying that they're waiting for 'real' celebrities to be revealed as they don't know any of the celebs who have been announced?

I know all of them so far and think the line up is great...

I am delighted about Susan Calman, she is very funny. Fascinating back story too, she was a lawyer (I think she did some work with death row inmates in the US) then binned it all to follow her dream of being a comedian. She stood in for the morning show person on Radio Scotland a lot a few years ago which is when I first became aware of her. She's in a few CBBC things too so DD is equally delighted.

She cancelled all of her September tour a couple of weeks ago- for a tv show. If I knew that it was strictly I wouldnt have been as forgiving!

Unfortunately I don't think Susan calman will be in it very long, I saw her dancing with Jeremy vine on instagram yesterday and she doesn't have much rhythm. Kevin has got to have a duffer this year!

The only ones I know are Susan Calman, Rev Coles - and I'm not that keen on him (although happy to have my first impressions changed and as he is musical, good chance he can dance). and Ruth Langford.
Is there a sportsperson yet ?

I didn't know many people last year or the year before though - i don;t mind that, you get to know them as the show goes on. Last year I really enjoyed Claudia, and the year before that I was big Jay fan - hadn't heard of either of them before the show.

I must admit, although I sort of know this year's line-up - apart from that chef (?) who I have never heard of - it's not really thrilling me at the moment.

But as KurriKurri says, I had never heard of Jay and he is now my favourite ever contestant, so I am hopeful. I just like to have someone I feel strongly about and can root for to win - the only recent year I've been a bit "meh" was the year Caroline Flack won when there was no-one I was really rooting for (and I couldn't stand her).

I agree about the celebs. It's good getting to know them in SCD,It's not called DWTS is it?

This one is going to be more interesting because we have a new judge to get used to too.

Martine McCutcheon was on Sunday Brunch this week when they announced Simon Rimmer. I don't think it's her cos she said that everyone keeps asking and it's deffo not her. She has had ME and she did a while ago that she wouldn't be phsically able to do it.
