PLL Running commentry!!!

It's here...after eight months of waiting!! So I'm starting a live PLL thread for the first ep. Comments...spoilers...."yeah, right"s....

Anyone want to join? If so, what time shall we press the "play" button and get addicted engrossed in the first of shw final ten? sob

All in all a bit underwhelming.

Mona though 💕 I love how she reacted to the game and the honesty of the whole addiction thing.

Paige/Alison was a really lovely scene.

I totally agree duxb loved Mona talking about her experience of being A, and really loved Paige and Alison. Two enemies finally making peace for Emily, and showing how much they have matured. I think watching that scene was the first time I have actually like Ali.

I think Aria's dark clothes are a reflection of the fact she is working undercover

I thought that the video call sounded like Melissa, I could imagine her using those words and phrases

Was it definitely a sweater? Could it have been a black hoodie?

It could have been a black hoodie but how did it suddenly appear when Aria turned her back for a few seconds?

Well, anything that can't be answered- a wizard did it! 😂

As soon as I saw Spencer at the airport I was thinking is that an identical twin?!?

Yeah airport Spencer was certainly acting shady. Wren doesn't pull off the rugged look though

I guess the 'Spencer having a twin theory' would echo Jessica and Mary

Alison finally admitted she loved Emily!!!!!!!

Hmm did she though? I think she admitted that Emily makes her want to be a better person

I love that it was Paige who got her to confront it.

The way she spoke about how Emily makes her feel, that's love.

I do actually now think that Ali loves Emily, but I'm not sure that she really knows what love is so she can't quite express it. I loved Paige in this episode though, and especially the dynamics between the two women that Emily loves

It needs a second watch I think. I like Troian's directing style - she gave the girls free reign for how they interpreted/reacted to their scripts and I think that shows.
Totally agree that Ali/Paige and Mona were the best scenes.
Weirdly I quite like Ezra and Aria at the end. It was awkward, not the straightforward reunion it could've been.

I hate the Ariafacetimebot thing though. It's so scratchy voiced and annoying.
And we better get more Wren! We need to know why he looks like a skin head 😂 has life been that hard?

Genuinely still kinda choked up about Ali's scene with Paige!
It will mean a heck of lot to a ton of queer kids.
And it was so important it was said without reference to the baby. And that Paige was gracious and gets closure now; she always knew Emily loved Ali the most. And now she knows Emily will be okay because Ali will love her without her. She needed to do that before she left. Paige was a really, really great and important character.

I liked Paige too-she developed into a great character and I loved the scene with Ali.

I agree that it was most likely a black hoodie but the locker was empty one minute and then suddenly the comic disappeared and the hoodie appeared. Aria only turned her back for a couple of seconds

If A is God, why does she need Aria??

There was a squeak of a door opening or closing when Aria's back was turned so I'm assuming A replaced the envelope with the hoodie. And Aria looked confused so she must have wondered how it happened so quickly

Where has Wren been all this time?

I wondered about a trick locker, false back or something, to swap the hoodie in so quickly.

Spencer was VERY strange with Wren. We all know she can act. That was deliberate..

Airport Spencer was drinking vodka lemonade or something. Not wine. Who drinks that? A!
Also no trench coat, not scared post-confrontation with that copper, no watch.
It's all in the little details....
