Whoops. Didn't see that bit

Choccywoccyhooha · 28/03/2017 21:56

If Kush is dead, I am joining the other posters and hunting down Nuchelle.

ThornyBird · 28/03/2017 22:09

My initial reaction was also 'not Kush'! Although I don't know where the Denise/Kush storyline could go.

BlueThursday · 28/03/2017 22:09

Hunt the walford one Angry

Has big mo left btw?

EnidButton · 29/03/2017 00:52

I actually missed something? Shock

Given the way the bus crash went, I'm betting no-one dies.

Or Preston because nobody cares about him.

tobee · 29/03/2017 01:18

I was worried that looked like Denise's hair in the chippy wreckage? But then EE aren't that good at what looks like is, in fact iyswim.

The thing about NuChelle is that because she's not OldChelle, and came with all the Florida baggage, and some of it followed her over, well, I just think I don't really care. Coz it's not Chelle. It's just some random with vaguely similar hair. Does that make sense? Mind you, I always think of OldChelle as having the big, flicky, fluffy, Trish Yates hair, like when she had Vicky.

tobee · 29/03/2017 01:24

Ooh, ooh, just thought. What happened with Chelle looking for Dennis?

SpanishFly · 29/03/2017 06:25

Oh please be Michelle and Preston dead. They have less chemistry than Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

ShiroiKoibito · 29/03/2017 07:06

While Diane parish can certainly do it, can they REALLY throw more crap at Denise? Seriously??

drwitch · 29/03/2017 08:26

tobee I think Trish was in the year above chelle at grange hill. Trish was in the same year as Tucker (Mark Fowler) She was the one with really straight hair and always going on about getting a "School Council"

Optimist1 · 29/03/2017 08:51

Before all the punching, shouting and crashing happened in that episode it suddenly occurred to me that perhaps the reason Chelle's character is all wrong to viewers is that she was originally a good character. Turning her bad doesn't work at all (although originally bad characters who turn good - Billy, Pat, Shirley - does work). Anyone agree with my theory?

nancy75 · 29/03/2017 09:48

she wasn't that good - she slept with her friend's dad & then with the same friend's Husband!

And she was horrible to Lofty

I remember old Chelle as a miserable moaner

drwitch · 29/03/2017 10:11

It doesn't work because its just a deeply icky story line. The narrative seems to be while its wrong (preston and chelle), he is as much to blame as she is. This is just wrong. On the other hand you see her fail to be the grown up with Denny,,,

nancy75 · 29/03/2017 10:18

yes it seems very much like Preston is the one in control while she is almost his victim which is quite weird & wrong!

Optimist1 · 29/03/2017 10:49

You're right, nancy - I had blocked out her transgressions, just remembered the independent, forthright teenager I guess!

tobee · 29/03/2017 12:03

It feels like one of the EE storylines where they thought "hey, let's do this storyline" without thinking it through. Like Ronnie baby swap. It's not challenging or interesting, it's yucky. They did the young guy - older woman thing with Irene Hills and Troy (maybe others as well?) but him being early 20s made it less queasy making.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/03/2017 12:22

7lb3 - same as my dd

HSMMaCM · 29/03/2017 13:08

I too hate the Preston Michelle story line, but I think it's an interesting twist that they're showing him as the controlling one in the relationship. Clearly she should have called it off, but it would have been even more boring if she was in control.

Oreocrumbs · 29/03/2017 13:10

Congratulations blondes. How wonderful!
