Coming relief is bollocks. No-one likes actually watching it surely.

iknowimcoming · 23/03/2017 23:11

I think sausage has a licence hasn't he or was that leek?

gingina · 23/03/2017 23:23

@nancy75 I hate comic relief too

Akire · 24/03/2017 00:15

It was leek, Whitney will have to get one so Mik can be all suitable geeatful. Then she have a leak in her room have to sleep in his bed.....

I hate comic relief too, I'm disabled I don't want watch poor child carers or fundraising for a wheelchair. These are things Gov should be paying for!!! Also it's all aw cute Disabled child, who then become a Disabled "scum bag, scrounching adult, who must be on fiddle".

Choccywoccyhooha · 24/03/2017 00:33

I'd pay for them to not put Comic Relief on, that would be a much better earner I reckon. Although I suspect that all the people who go crazy for Ant n Dec are the same ones who look forward to Comic Relief night.

I love the way that Mick raged into the kitchen, it was almost as if the producers had just that minute pulled him aside and said "Right Danny, you're being bit of a knob recently, you need a break to sort yourself out, read these lines then clear your locker." I wonder if he nutted a few people on his way out.

If Denise and Kush don't get it on next week then I might explode, as might Kush. Their scene in the square was so well acted, especially Kush's "now you're giving me hope." Come on Dee!

MakeItStopNeville · 24/03/2017 00:45

If they don't get rid of the ridiculous Nuchelle soon, I'm going to give up. She's the worst actress I've ever seen. And I once watched Elderado!

The80sweregreat · 24/03/2017 06:30

Enid, i do think that comic relief should have a new format , or just go on line. I did watch a bit of the lovely Sara Cox doing her 80s danceathon on the red button on monday/ tuesday , but the actual night itself is a let down. When it started it was just a comedy stage show i believe with them raising money ( fair enough) but now its just OTT. charities raise money all year round without all this hype and bad sketches and so on.
The public are always generous and i hope it all goes to those that need it most, but please, drop the whole night devoted to it! Anyway, a few critics on line of the rushed DD exit last night - all done on the quick to get Mock some time out ( to sort himself ouuttt) and the roof is still leaking.

The80sweregreat · 24/03/2017 06:32

.. ps, i hate Nuchelle too, she is so unlike the old one its ridiculous and Preston carries on like a man in his 30's too - the whole thing is just sick and silly and badly thought out. There isnt a lot of love for them two either on other forums!

DameSquashalot · 24/03/2017 06:43

I used to love Eldorado Blush

SoTheySentMeA · 24/03/2017 06:54

I front understand why they bothered bringing Michelle back if they weren't going to make the most of it. They've wasted her on shit, unbelievable, irritating storylines. If they couldn't get Susan Tully back, they could have at least tried to get the audience to invest in the nuchelle by making her someone likeable. As it us, i just

SoTheySentMeA · 24/03/2017 06:55

Wish she'd fuck off

Chillidawg · 24/03/2017 07:07

Here's a curve ball that's just occurred to me as I stare into my coffee.
Doesn't KIM have a licence since she used to part own the Albert.
Imagine, KIM as the temp manager of the Vic. Soap gold.

youarenotkiddingme · 24/03/2017 07:23

Kim being behind the bar would put Twitneys nose out of joint if nothing else!

Oreocrumbs · 24/03/2017 07:26

Chili Kim and Vincent should have a licence, the way they are going on about licences isn't actually true to real life (I had a tiny rant about it a few threads ago 🙈) you have one dps. Just one. You aren't allowed 2. And that's it, then every sale of alcohol on the bar must be supervised by a personal licence holder.

So what the vic needs at the minute is anybody with a personal licence to authorise the sale of alcohol. And for the purposes of Mick just being away for a few days/weeks no need to change the dps.

But eastenders have made this thing about Mick, Linda, Shirley etc 'having their name above the door' and being the only licensees..... and that's just wrong!

See I'm off again. Thank god it's not on tonight, this is no good for my blood pressure!

MyBeloved · 24/03/2017 08:06

Wine oreo

JustAnotherSilentOldNumber · 24/03/2017 08:27

Both comic relief and Children in need have become big companies and celebrities trying to out do each other while patting themselves on the back.

The80sweregreat · 24/03/2017 09:12

just, i am so glad that i am not the only one a bit fed of the whole comic relief circus, yes they raise lots of money and have improved lives - but the celebs who go out there or do the challenges all come home to their mansions and then tend to preach to those that are struggling to give more. CIN is the same. The other much smaller charities, or the ones local to people are probably missing out. These are the ones i prefer to sponsor myself really - even then its not much. too many other things to pay out for, sad to say.
i must say Oreo , your in depth knowledge of the pub trade has been an eye opener to me - I knew there was a lot to it and very hard work, but i really had no idea of all the other bits that go with it. I guess that hospital type dramas are the same with people saying 'thats wrong, or that would never happen'. At least you have a break from it tonight. wonder how long Mock will be in 'Bulgaria' for ( a kind of rehab in real life so i read!)

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2017 11:11

Excellent recap 80's :)

Was a good episode. Haven't said that for a while

Preston is a child. And michelle can't make her mind up if she likes him or not

Obv Denny being slapped made me day. He's a brat

And again Obv knows about peds due to poor jay and how ohilmwas with him

American diner? New set?

Lush and DENISE are on fire !!! They will be shagging soon

Bad Whitney stealing Lauren's phone 😱😱😱

spiderslight · 24/03/2017 11:12

We have a pub (don't live or work in it Grin) but I don't know much about the workings I'm ashamed to say, Oreo. The only thing I find odd is that it (the Vic) is able to provide income for so many, when it seems to be always quite empty.

No names above the door, but don't you have to have licence or similar displayed somewhere internally, something like that? Blush I don't know.

spiderslight · 24/03/2017 11:16

Whitney is so sanctimonious, I was shocked to see her selling her best friend's phone.

Very unlucky, those Carters, another accident/illness abroad!

For some reason I find Nuchelle, and the whole dull Preston storyline, very irritating.

The80sweregreat · 24/03/2017 11:25

spider, it is irritating, she sent him away the other week ' go home preston' she whined on.. he comes back and they are out on the town having burgers! She is the adult in this , but he seems to be running the show.
Whitney was out of order with the phone - she has forgotten that she kissed her own fil already and caused some of leek's misery woes? She is such a saint now of course. annoying girl, although her speedy work at booking two tickets online was impressive ( how fast was that?) takes me forever to order or book things on line..

iknowimcoming · 24/03/2017 12:29

Must admit to sniggering at the waitress thinking nuchelle was preston's mum. Agree that the whole comic relief/cin telethon thing has had its day - although I really want to see the love actually follow up Blush

southeastdweller · 24/03/2017 13:11

I'd love to know how much the rich celebs taking part in tonight's show donate, if they do. And the CEO, who apparently earns £160K.

The whole thing needs to be rethought.

Cary2012 · 24/03/2017 13:20

I think the scriptwriters and casting team have messed up big time with Nuchelle. They're trying to make her edgy, attractive to younger guys, like she just can't help herself. The original "Chelle when very young liked older guys, Dennis Watts, that lecturer etc, and it worked because Sue Tully had a vulnerability about her. So now we're supposed to accept that mature Chelle has turned the tables and can't resist young lads. But, it doesn't work because we have no empathy with this very average actress. Bringing the character back has failed miserably, they need to send her and daft Preston back to the states pronto.

Optimist1 · 24/03/2017 13:29

I have no issue with the actress playing Chelle - I think the trouble is the story line. It would have been more interesting to have omitted the Preston part of her history entirely; the trials of being substitute mum to Denny and Louise whilst Sharon and Phil are away could have provided us with enough drama. Heaven only knows how it's going to play out - my guess is that she and Preston will both leave the Square and never be seen again.
