yep, those horrible girls need taking down a peg.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 13/04/2017 18:31

Agree, 80's I'd love to see Stacey giving them hell!

Everything about Dog Crate Gate is absurd. It's one of the worst storylines for a long time. I'm also getting sick of the close ups of Nuchelle biting her bottom lip, looking at her phone and doing her slightly tortured expression.

The80sweregreat · 13/04/2017 18:36

Dog crate gate! It is silly.
Most of it is rubbish just now..chelle really needs to go.

youarenotkiddingme · 13/04/2017 20:21

Poor poor Bex. Sad it's horrific to watch but I think EE are actually handling trial storyline well and showing the horrors social/online bullying can be for teens.

Scabetty · 13/04/2017 20:23

Who has she called? It is awful to watch those bitches and as for Louise grrrrr!

southeastdweller · 13/04/2017 20:53

Sonia. Now I'm thinking this drawn-out bullying story was done less to reflect reality and more to time in with Natalie Cassidy's return Hmm. Saint Sonia will save the day of course.

BlueThursday · 13/04/2017 20:56

Would love Carol to come back and sort them out

SoTheySentMeA · 13/04/2017 21:38

There is no way to smash a guitar quietly. Any money stacey doesnt go up there and find out what made that noise though.

Venella · 13/04/2017 21:59

Haha! DH has been referring to Sharon as Miss Piggy for years! back in the days when EE was entertaining At least it's not quite as mean as Shirley calling her "Menopause Barbie".

Has anyone set up a gofundme or justgive page yet for Project 'Chellexit? How much do you reckon we'd get if we flog the beige mac on ebay? It's only Eastenders, she won't need a passport. Five quid top up on the Oyster card will get her far enough.

Dog crate gate: do me a favour.

Did Lauren ever find out that Whitney sold the mobile phone?

Cary2012 · 13/04/2017 22:05

I work with teenagers, (teacher KS4), in a huge high school.

Much of the Bex storyline has been handled well. Cyber bullying etc is a major problem, especially between girls. Boys (mostly) will have a punch up at break, argue it out over lunch, and be mates again at the end of the day.

Girls are so very complex: power issues, trying to be cool, the bullying is so passive, so low level, but ultimately so dangerous.

EE had it sadly right within the school gates. Few bullying girls would go to a victim's house and take her on there. Lou certainly wouldn't be part of it. Bullies are ultimately cowards and few would enter a house with adults there, especially Martin, and confront Bex as they did. Few adults, like Stacey, would be unaware of the situation and not keep within ear shot.

They've taken what could be a credible plot device and spoilt it to accommodate the return of Sonya, who I agree will sweep in to save the day. Much better if Bex stood up to the bullies, told Martin and Stacy and Louise grew a backbone, but that might be too much to wish for.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 13/04/2017 22:11

He he Chellexit

Good point, Cary It became less realistic when the bullies visited Bex's house. I agree, a guitar smashing, Bex shouting No and loud jeering would have been heard. Stacey's not deaf. Hmm

iknowimcoming · 13/04/2017 22:13

Sonia will have to come back now Stacey is preggers, who else could deliver the baby? Also the caff is short-staffed so Sonia can do a few shifts there and hopefully she can knock Tina and whitless back into shape too. Was thinking earlier (long car journey) about nuchelle moving in with Jay and Ben, and remembered Jay doing the whole 'I know what's it feels like' speech to her, I do hope he won't be her next victim Confused

SinisterBumFacedCat · 13/04/2017 22:46

Few bullying girls would go to a victim's house and take her on there

My bullies did. Finding this story line really awful Sad

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 13/04/2017 22:53

Sorry you suffered with bullying, cat . It must have been a dreadful experience. Flowers

SinisterBumFacedCat · 13/04/2017 22:56

Thank you nineties

SuperFlyHigh · 13/04/2017 22:56

Sinister not a bully but a girl who was on and off nasty (we didn't go to same school etc) and sometimes abused me in the street came to my house to I don't know ask for me, anyway my stepdad saw I was upset (it was her and I think other boys) and chased them away and screamed and shouted like a monster after them and threw his shoe after them (they ran across the nearby school playground to the estate where they came from). They never came back...

Sorry they came to your house. Sad

I was lucky when I was bullied it was either a full on attack (that was nice) or snide comments and actions. Still the dread of walking into a classroom where one girl you thought was a friend who threatens you isn't nice. This one girl has a bully herself her own mother, i "forgave" her via a FB message (but not seen her) and sad to say I don't trust her. She is a new age person, sort of hippy, has grown etc but I'm not 100% taken in by her and she's tried to sign me up to her therapies offering me free ones but I've not bitten and I won't. Rant over!

SuperFlyHigh · 13/04/2017 22:58

ILostIt someone who has never been through bullying I hate to say, understands how awful it is. For that I'm pleased (but it's hard watching it) that EE is showing this storyline.

I feel so so angry and upset with bullies now (I went to a tough inner city girls school as well as a private convent school).

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 13/04/2017 23:15

Jesus that's awful. I can't imagine how terrible it must be if you add in cyber bullying which leaves these poor youngsters with little 'escape' from it. Sad

youarenotkiddingme · 13/04/2017 23:19

Cyber bullying makes it 24/7.

Ime schools don't deal with it because it's outside of school and so bullies learn to do the low level stuff that causes anxiety in school and save the serious stuff for outside

HateSummer · 13/04/2017 23:29

My bullies came to my house too and when I didn't open the door they howled my name outside for ages. My parents weren't home and my brother thought it was silly school children from my class 😞. So it does happen. And this whole little manipulative game they played about not being friends anymore: happened to me too, albeit not with cat litter truffles, but the whole scenario. I do hate this storyline though and I hope Sonia comes back and sorts it. Those girls are complete bitches..

AGnu · 14/04/2017 02:33

My bullies came to my house too. They were never physical but constantly played mind games like pretending to have been excluded from the group to gain my trust. I actually shouted at the TV tonight telling Bex not to trust her. I remember one time they came round & asked my mum if I wanted to come out. I hid round the corner & asked my mum to get rid of them. She said I needed to deal with issues myself & she wasn't going to get involved with petty squabbles. I couldn't think of a reason not to go so did & we could've been arrested for trespassing. I love my mum dearly but I don't think I'll ever quite forgive her for not stepping in.

BlueThursday · 14/04/2017 06:35

Girls can be utter shits can't they Sad

woodhill · 14/04/2017 10:38

Is Bex now in a position to call the police as she has evidence of the video with bullies voices on it plus texts. Shame she didn't take truffles as evidence. Criminal damage to her guitar. Hard to prove but it was alright till the bullies arrived at her home.

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 14/04/2017 12:21

Didn't see last nights yet but Corrie had a bullying storyline and the lead bully tricked Bethany into thinking she was now friends with her and then turned on her. But then David cut all her hair off so he sorted it Grin

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 14/04/2017 12:22

Never mind Sonia they should send David Platt to Walford!
