Clique - iplayer only BBC3 thriller

Is anyone watching Clique?

I found it by accident looking through iplayer. It has a slight Skins feel (younger characters, drugs, the music and style) but also has aspects of a thriller like The Replacement. I've just finished the latter and am still catching up on that thread! But am interested to hear thoughts and theories on this series. I couldn't find a thread and thought posting might persuade some of you to try it out if you hadn't heard of it!

Just watched episode 5. The ending! I did not see that coming...

Can't wait to watch next episode will download tonight and maybe watch tonight or if not Monday night. I'm finding it quite exciting viewing. I never watched Skins (not a very appealing name) maybe I should look into that.

I'm sad that Rachel isn't the good girl we assumed but it's a good twist.
The actor playing Rory did a great job of portraying a hissy fit when Holly wanted to leave (the whiney "You caaaann't!") And Holly did a surprisingly good job of doing a strangled face!
I still can't take it totally seriously but it's definitely picked up in time for the last episode compared to how it started.

Oh but I still want to know exactly what happened the night Georgia phoned Holly all upset and then Fay was found in the bath. Hope they clarify that

it's all got a bit daft now and I can't follow half of it.

Just watched ep 5. I can't work out of the blonde red lippy girl is a goody or a baddy?? I hope it's a better end than the replacement.

I think it's quite easy watching and I quite look forward to watching it.

But what's going on? Is Rachel just batty or is she working for Alistair?

Yes wtf is going on? Was guy that just got battered a policeman gone rogue for the money? Whose side is Rachel on? Why did she release the video if in cahoots with Alistair?

Rory killed James, because although he was working for the police he had started to work for Alistair, even though the police still thought he was working for them.

Why Rachel got all bristly with Jude and then went at Rory with the hammer, I have zero idea.

Except I don't think it was to avenge James or Fay.

And I am finding it difficult to see Alistair as some sort of Svengali they (Rachel and Rory) were in thrall to - he's a floppy haired greasy prat with no oomph.

I'm quite enjoying it. It's got a heavy handed 'money corrupts' message doesn't it? I think Rachel is just out for herself, she didn't like how rory got in with alasdair by telling him about what holly knew.

I'm glad jude turned out not to be in on it all.

No idea now what's going to happen to holly with rachel - rachel's a complete loose canon!

and will georgina leave / see sense / speak out?

Rachel's either pure evil or in league with Alastair (and the brains behind it all)

She killed the boy who killed the others with the hammer Holly was using earlier to break into they boy's filing cabinet.

So I reckon that was to get Holly blamed for his murder and dispose of the pair of them.

Ah yes. I thought there was too much attention paid to hollys searching the toolbox for something to open the filing cabinet.

I've been watching it with my teens, there have been a few moments (I won't say which but if you've seen them you'll know) that have been very uncomfortable to watch, but it's a good thriller and we have had loads of discussion from it, so taking positive from some of the more horrific events.

It's a lot darker than Mean Girls, that's for sure.

Can't wait for the final episode! Hope all the loose ends are tied up and all the mysteries are answered. Worst case IMO would be that Holly leaves in some way (emigrate, suicide etc.), Georgia doesn't realise the mistake she's making, and the clique just carry on as before with everything swept back under the carpet. I want to see friendships restored, justice done, and ghosts laid to rest!

I predict Holly gets arrested for Rory's murder, Rachel (who helped Holly give away her hand and expose Alexander (knowing it would get swept under carpet) about to get away with it but Jude somehow sorts it all out and saves the day. And Elizabeth must have some crucial role or connection we don't know about.

Yes, in one of the episodes Elizabeth gave Rachel an odd look when she was hugging Holly.. Elizabeth knows something.

watched it every week but found it difficult to understand, never went to uni though and don't like cliques so, meh

I wondered if Elizabeth could be connected to Fay in some way. Fay appeared to always be wearing a dark wig! Also I wonder if Elizabeth is attracted to Holly.

I've just caught up with episode 5. Is this Sunday's the last?

I tho k Elizabeth just doesn't like Rachel.
She'll have something on her in that notebook if hers 🤔

That would be interesting if Elizabeth knows something about Rachel, but she probably would have warned Holly about her already if that was the case. I thought she gave the odd look when they hugged because she had been part of the plan too but then got a bit left out.

Not gonna lie, I might jump to the end when it uploads tomorrow so I can find out what happens so I won't waste time if it's unsatisfying haha
