Anyone else planning on watching this three-parter that starts tonight at 9?

Paula didn't introduce Caris when she came into the office so she could be a step daughter. I think Caris is dead too.

I enjoyed it but yes, hugely unrealistic; popped back to shape and cutting about all made up lovely clothes on!! Lol at earlier poster who said she looked like a bon marche sale rail post birth; me too!! Was pleased today I was out of my pjs by 3 o clock- my baby is 5 weeks! I dunno who is the baddy now! Had clothes envy and car envy tonight.

Maybe Kay found out the full truth about caris whatever that truth is and Paula killed her to silence her. Thought Ian the hubby was gorgeous tonight. Very young to be a psychiatrist I'd think but who cares he is lovely

Summerof85 · 07/03/2017 22:27

I wonder now if Paula had a miscarriage or the baby died or cant have kids, thats why she is obsessed with Ellen's baby.

Summerof85 · 07/03/2017 22:28

Enjoying recognising a lot of the places it's filmedGrin

rainbowdash888 · 07/03/2017 22:30

No way was the girl that Paula bought into the office 10 years old- that wasn't Caris. Maybe a stepdaughter or niece or something?

Also, how does a picture of a baby in a car seat prove that it has been left alone in a car? And why is the newborn in a cot at its lowest setting? !
Apart from this I am really enjoying it!

cherrytree63 · 07/03/2017 22:31

The young girl (Carys) seemed to have a Scottish accent but Paula and her husband are southern.
I wonder if the men are "bonding" on the car journey swapping notes on crazy wives Grin

cherrytree63 · 07/03/2017 22:34

I thought that about the picture proving nothing Rainbow.
And I wanted to tell Ellen to fold the blanket at the bottom so the baby couldn't get it over her face.
I'm impatient for the next episode!

eddiemairswife · 07/03/2017 22:34

Caris looked mixed race to me.

I found it irritating that Paula and Ellen's husbands look so similar.....youngish, dark haired, little beardy chins.

TinfoilHattie · 07/03/2017 22:38

The young girl (Carys) seemed to have a Scottish accent but Paula and her husband are southern.

No, Paula is Northern. Husband is Southern, although he doesn't say much. There are lots of children in my kids' classes who have parents who are not from Glasgow but who speak with Scottish accents. That's nothing remarkable at all.

BikeRunSki · 07/03/2017 22:39

The child Paula brought into the office, was not the child in the photo on the social media a/c Ellen was messaging.

sunnyhills · 07/03/2017 22:40

Agree Caris looked mixed race .Paula's husband looked mixed race as well.

Also agree some dark secret re Paula and Caris . Thinking Paula's biological child died /horrible illness..or she is unable to have children .

hippyhippyshake · 07/03/2017 22:41

Ellen's too submissive with the psychologist stuff whether it was with those 'experts', her dodgy husband or mil. What was Paula doing sneaking round the corner when Ellen was leaving Ian's place? Are we supposed to believe there is an affair going on? I thought the outburst by Paula's husband was really odd. Maybe it will turn out he was referring to someone else otherwise why would he say it in front of Paula if he was referring to her? I love the way that Paula can just leave the office, follow Ellen, get some timely snaps of an abandoned baby and be back with no one ever suspecting her movements! I got really frustrated when Ellen was trying to say that it wasn't 10 minutes. It wasn't! I believe you Ellen!

TinfoilHattie · 07/03/2017 22:45

Whatever's going on, Paula has something over her husband. Any "normal" husband would have come out with the truth when Paula breezily announced that her imaginary child was at a sleepover, and not danced around talking about a friend with a wife who had problems with reality.

Paula's quite clearly the crazy one, but Ellen isn't exactly acting like a normal person either.

whatsthecomingoverthehill · 07/03/2017 22:46

The social services thing pissed me off. Distracted from what was otherwise a nicely tense programme.

GMOOH · 07/03/2017 22:47

Really Bike? I thought it was the same child. It's all very confusing!

TheBadgersMadeMeDoIt · 07/03/2017 22:47

I was shouting at the TV when Ellen left the baby in the car. Clearly no good was ever going to come of that.

Also, her husband REALLY looks like my sister's last BF...who turned out to be married with two kids. Perhaps that makes me biased but I do not like that guy. Can't help feeling he's going to be bad news.

CoffeeCoffeeAndLotsOfIt · 07/03/2017 22:52

Really enjoyed it again this week.

Though the newborn cot scenes annoyed me! Especially the pillow. Ffs!

Ivydalegirl · 07/03/2017 22:55

I know it's not real but that beautiful tiny baby crying and being ignored so often is upsetting, I'm distracted from the story now. Not one likeable character among them.

Charley50 · 07/03/2017 22:56

Baby should be in a Moses basket.

Charley50 · 07/03/2017 22:57

I think whoever plays Ellen is a good actress. The whole thing is so creepy and ridiculous now.

WeeM · 07/03/2017 22:59

@summerof85 me too! Do you have any idea where that lane is where Ellen's flat is? It looks familiar but can't place it-West end somewhere?

I can't believe she is back at work already though, I mean seriously!

TinfoilHattie · 07/03/2017 23:06

Ellen's flat looks more Edinburgh than Glasgow to me. The architects office is definitely the Commonwealth Games offices in Albion St. The cafe where Ellen saw Georgia is on Nithsdale Road on the south side.

Deux · 07/03/2017 23:07

Aside from all the super-groomed nimble running around, why were the fog lights on on the Volvo? I found myself alternating between getting cross at minor details like this and thinking Ellen's crazy, no Paula's crazy, no it's Ellen. So maybe yes they both are a bit unhinged.

Caris doesn't appear to live with them. She either doesn't exist or is elsewhere. Maybe Paula's husband isn't her father and she lives with her bio dad? I do find myself thinking of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle. Anyone remember that film?

blueandgreendots · 07/03/2017 23:09

WeeM I can't work out where Ellen's place is but when she went to see her boss at his place she parked just off Hyndland Road (there was Daniel Footwear behind her car)

I'm having a chuckle that you guys are pointing out all the baby care errors that I spotted too; car seat straps too loose, pillow in the cot, blanket position and being able to leave the house with a newborn!
