The problem with the dragging out of the bullying storyline is that they need to have other stories going on back in the square etc that are moving at a different tempo, to mix it up. This is a drama after all, not reality tv. Actually, it's more like slow tv right now.

I laughed like a loon at Whitney saying the line about not serving up Irish stew when a bulldog's had first dibs. The dull storylines have obviously turned my brain.

It is just plodding along just now - the bullying one is good ( to hi light social media problems and the girls in the loo with bex was pretty harrowing) but there doesnt seem to be any real end in sight - i am hoping the 2 imeldas get caught or suspended - what did they do for evidence before CCTV in schools? Same with Mick and the roof and his woes, all being going on and on without being properly resolved, now we have Shirley going through it and its turning into bad girls- the thought of preston and chelle 'coming out' to tell the world isnt filling me with hope for the future either. lol. Still, have to see what this week brings - will Ian finally ditch the doughnuts? i hope so, for his sake.

justanother, that is so awful - whats the point of the cameras then? Its so awful what does go on at school. i was so lucky that although i hated the place, i wasnt bullied (not sure why, i wasnt a confident child, but somehow they stayed away ) i would have hated it even more so if i had been. I think was bullied more in my first real job than at school tbh!
It must bring back so many memories for you seeing all this on a early evening soap - those girls and Keegan are nasty looking girls and they are only acting the parts!

We haven't had a good affair for a while. I don't mean Whitney and Mick! Or even NuChelle and flippin' Preston. Buster and Kathy was never that interesting, either.

I know Ronnie and Roxy weren't everyone's cup of tea but since they've gone there's not really anyone female that age, with a bit something about them. Even though she's quite a bit younger than R&R, Donna should be developed more as a character. She's got a bit of spark about her. Most of the others are a bit dull. Apart from Kim, but there's a feeling that they pull back and make her too panto. Most of the men are a bit meh as well, really, come to think....

Ds had a knife pulled on him at school. School rang me to tell ds. Already anxious autistic ds hot worse and was too anxious to attend.
Schools response was to deny it ever happened and not anyone - including the EFA, ofsted or local safeguarding team will even investigate. They are happy to ignore the written evidence I have from school about the fact they called me and why and believe the schools version of events that they were mistaken that the incident took place.
The same school that during ds review said they'd get cctv and prove me wrong when I said I was concerned ds was returning to anxious behaviours as he's been found hiding under his blazer in corridors by teachers.

TBH the latest stuff re bullying for me is the fact it's helping parents to see what goes on and what to expect re a good way to deal with it.

Just you know mine and ds story very well. I raved about it enough on here!

He's doing brilliantly in new school though. So it all worked out for the better in the end

Unfortunately I think the only way to deal with bullying is to put your child in a new school, once it starts schools are usually crap at helping and it never gets better.
