I recall Shirley getting money from Phil for the carters to help buy the pub - didnt Elaine get on board too? Phil was duped by shirley , but then again i could have made that up. they got the cash from somewhere!
Will the fine be 'written off' now someone is doing 'bird' for the offence, or will they still chase up the cash? Max n jack didnt push it that much about Max's 'boss' buying the freehold from Mock - makes me wonder how Max will manage to talk him round - he must have something else up his sleeve now ? Carmel eyeing Max up was funny - dont go there mate, he has form for being a womaniser and it doesnt end well usually ( death in some cases..)

I think shirl has been sent daaaan precisely so that she can't keep an eye on mick and whiney, the clue was in the "he's a middle-aged man and like a father to me" comment to Lauren.

Thought the Lauren in sexy get-up to entice Stephen scene was a bit odd also, are we heading towards him reverting to liking men and getting it on with Ben I wonder ....

Lauren & Stephen was creepy. He makes my skin crawl!

Steven always makes me think 'spiv' when I see him.

Great scene with Carmel telling Shaki how much she does for him. Very realistic. "Sometimes you say goodbye".

Agree about that scene with Carmel and shaki mrs whip - made me a little bit teary actually

iknow I didn't want to admit it but it made me fill up too! I've got a teenager and they can be incredibly self absorbed sometimes. What Carmel said really hit home. Thought last two episodes were great.

Yep my Ds is 15 and an arsehole in the mornings, so really struck a cord with me too!

I think Billy and Honey were confused about Shirl not having done a stretch before because they saw her in Bad Girls.

Those 2 episodes were actually ok. Stacey lashing out was good. Nice to see some life in her.

I've mentioned before, they've stopped the dodgy filming angles aswell, is eastenders back on the mend now? I hope so!

Steven looks like a used car salesman you would avoid.

Would like to know when the disposable cups of coffee/tea some of the characters appear with are going to actually have coffee/tea IN the cups rather than being empty.

I think Steven looks like a neo-nazi. Really creepy vibe about him.

There is also zero chemistry between Steven and Lauren. Not sure if it's intentional by the writers but they look so awkward together!

At least peter was a bit of eye candy!

I also think Tina has forgotten she has no involvement in her own daughter's life; or it that just the writers again?

I was thinking about zsa zsa today too, - Tina never mentions her!

She did make a comment about how neither her or shirl were the best mothers either

Carmen's speech to son was great! Finally some real acting and quality script on Eastenders.

Agree, Billy and Honey were very funny about Shirl not having done time! Finally, some decent humour! I hope EE is back on track, its just been dire for years now... I only watch it for the wardrobe department!

JUAT caught up with Friday's, they did good. I too thought Shirley must have done time Before! I wonder after the coal shed story that's why he was shaking at being locked in the end? Everyone is expecting Shirley to swim it bet she comes

I don't think they've gone down the police station yet. Bex did say to Louise she was going to tell the old bill the truth but not sure it's happened yet!

Have to ask has anyone else seen leeks performance on the comic relief singing thing?? Even more shocking acting (but at least it's for charity
