furcoat adoption isn't care, though - once you're adopted you are no longer in care. In fact IME after adoption local authority social services avoid any involvement, for better or worse.

There seem to have been a few comments recently, again tonight, with Denise where people remark about it being down to the parents how a child turns out. So I think it may change Denise's mind about the baby. Could be entirely wrong though.

i forgot about her hitting Patrick, have always been a Denise fan but your right spider. she was drinking a lot though and he had his stroke, but there wasnt any justification for hitting him.

Dot was rocking the glamorous 90 year old look last night. She looked amazing. Except for the point where she was driving the wrong way down the dual carriage way in her magically conjured up Smart car obviously.

Witless' "Goodbye Flat" was a blatant rip off of Room. You were hardly anducted and kept in there for years, love. You just spent a few months living in it with your permanently sniveling husband.

yes, the smart car is so not Dot! she had an older car with bits of wood on the side of it when she came back to the soap a few years back now from visiting someone. Cant remember the make but it looked like the kind of car she would drive. Cars do appear like magic in EE, such as Leek's car.
At least there was a touch of humour when Dot was speaking to the sat nav.

Yes, Dot's glamour was the highlight of an otherwise dull episode.
That seems to be the norm these days. Some of the dialogues and "story" lines are laughable, and not in a good way. Like from a sixth formers' school project.

Oooh I just remembered I watched a bit of a programme celebrating June brown's 90th, and the car driving scenes were filmed in a studio. You probably all knew that but I'm relieved she wasn't out on them there scary London roads for real!

The80sweregreat Dot's / Jim's car was a Morris traveller.

Her speaking into the sat nav was very Star Trek The Voyage Home ("oh computer!") but – she operates a laptop by herself and uses the google ("bushes", snigger!) but thinks the sat nav is a Walkie talkie?!

Zippidydoodah I think the plants she bought and managed to fit into the TARDIS mini were for the square – the communi'y! – not her own garden.

A morris traveller, now that is a Dot kind of car for those pesky london roads. She wont be driving any more now i bet and Jack will just shout at her for being so silly.
