My fave current characters are Phoebe and Marilyn. Phoebe is so much fun and Marilyn is so lovely.
I can't really decide on a favourite past character. I loved Aden and belle and indie and Romeo. Loved Sasha too. And casey. And jet. Too many to choose from!
Worst characters would be Nicole and Tamara and I never liked Martha either even though we were obviously supposed to like her as a character.

Can someone help me here, totally stumped... I thought Billie's cancer was nothing to do with the smoke inhalation - didn't they say that? But now John is somehow responsible and I don't understand. Have I missed something?

Also what about Kyle? Swoooooon. Him and Phoebe were a hot couple.

I think - in the world of Home and Away, which is basically about as safe as living in a bizarre cross between a South American city and Chernobyl, given the number of violent acts and terminal cancers - Billie had had the cancer for a while but the smoke inhalation had "made it worse" and hastened her death.

I really liked Kyle for a long time and then his ridiculous exit storyline with that improbable blonde woman killed it stone dead for me. As if he'd go to jail for twenty years for a woman he'd known for half an hour and who was clearly absolutely off her rocker.

TheOnly, I feel exactly the same about Kyle. I loved him with Phoebe but what a stupid exit storyline. That blonde woman was so annoying too.

I thought it was a shame they didn't do more with phoebes pregnancy

I liked Billie and Denny and Oscar and they killed them all off.

Marilyn is great and I like Irene. Alf and Irene get some of the best lines.

Once they said Phoebe was having twins it was clear the pregnancy was doomed. Soaps love twins, but not baby ones. They always have to have a set of twins to play one baby anyway, so two sets of twins would be madness. There is no way a character would actually give birth to twins.

It's a shame really. Soaps always make the parents have some kind of breakdown or PND, or their marriage goes wrong (until they magically recover and the kid gets shut in a cupboard sent to the Magic daycare that is always open and completely free) and statistically that is more likely in multiple birth families. Not the cupboard bit obvs.

Could they have found anyone less physically like Ash and Billie to play their long-lost sibling?! He's not even vaguely similar to either of them.

The mention of Ricky rminds me how sorry I feel for Nate. It says something about just how tragic your love life is when Matt the skateboarding high school dropout is better at holding down a relationship than you are.

Tonight's ep was pretty realistic though. You'd have to be on drugs to want to date Mason.

Much as I hate to defend Mason, his family were really unreasonable towards him about the Major Drugs Debacle. He hadn't invited any of the troublemakers, he barely knew Lena - why was it all suddenly his fault?!
