Its an odd one, because in rl yep imagine the mn thread, leah would not be happy at her teen son giving everything up to raise a baby, how ever cute that is not his.
In rl she would be very angry.
But back in soapland i reckon irene will end up withe the baby, ash will want her for a episode, then will do the dirty on her like he did brax

PensPencilsandRulers · 06/04/2017 07:43

Yeah he completely stabbed Brax in the back by going after Denny and Phoebe (his brothers' partners!).

Cel982 · 06/04/2017 09:40

How is that 'stabbing Brax in the back'? Hmm Surely Denny and Phoebe can date whoever they like?

MommaGee · 06/04/2017 12:18

I don't think irene would cope.

The constant reminder of what her son did.
The constant flow of people in and out of that house

Leah would just cone to resent her if VJ wanted to give her up.

Maybe VJ and Ash could live together?

He would NEVER let Luc down.

Weren't they Brax's ex's? Not his partners?

PensPencilsandRulers · 06/04/2017 14:12

Well of course they could cel but don't you think you'd be pretty pissed off if you went to prison and your supposed best friend dated your dead sister's recently bereaved widower and then dumped her to sleep with your other sister's partner. I think I would feel a bit like I'd been stabbed in the back tbh! Especially if I'd taken them in, given them a home and job etc!

MommaGee · 06/04/2017 14:18

Onus is on the girls

PensPencilsandRulers · 06/04/2017 14:40

Yes onus definitely on the girls as to what relationships they have, absolutely. But, out of all the fish in the sea, if your best mate did that, wouldn't you see it as some sort of pisstake? I definitely would! (maybe I'm just mean Grin)

MommaGee · 06/04/2017 15:20

Yeah but its soapland, they only have a limited number of people they can date. Broody tried to date a randomer and look what happened

ZackyVengeance · 06/04/2017 15:35

I know it's only Homers and therefore serious business, folks!! but I really hate the idea of men having some sort of veto over who their female relatives can date. It's so disempowering to women and treats them like possessions to be bestowed on worthy males. And also feeds into the "all men are just after one thing" myth by implying that a true friend wouldn't do anything as shady as going out with your sister...

PensPencilsandRulers · 06/04/2017 17:41

Haha yes very serious business indeed cel Grin.
I totally understand what you mean but I would feel the same way if the genders were reversed, for example if it were my friend who did that. Maybe I am biased because I don't like Ash anyway, I hate the way he's behaved over Billie's death and I didn't really like him before that. (Sorry if I've offended anyone, I know there are a few Ash fans on here Grin).

GoldenGumballs · 06/04/2017 18:06

Well whatever he did in the past (can't remember the relationships) he's just a complete bellend for putting his grief above all others and screaming in the trees and being truly vile to his sisters' husband who only did what a dying woman wanted.

summerholsdreamin · 06/04/2017 18:31

That scene where Billie passes away in VJ's arms totally reminded me of similar with Blake and Meg(?)
Old glimmer time!

ContraryToPopularBelief · 06/04/2017 19:18

I can't understand why Ash always has a string of women. He's so aggressive with serious anger and control issues. Hitting VJ was a serious low point.

Also if Ash goes after custody of Luc then it would show his complete lack of respect for his sister as she wanted VJ to raise her.
Can't fathom what reason they would come up with Irene wanting custody rather than just being an involved grandparent.

MommaGee · 06/04/2017 23:43

pens highly offended lol, don't be mean to my second husband haha.
I thobk he's just lost in grief. Its not ok to hit VJ but Billie is his life, there's no one else who loves him and looks after him with all their other family dead. She's his link to the past. I know VJ loved her but Ash always doubted whether he was grown up enough to step up

Can't see anyone going for custody unless Veej walks

Cel982 · 07/04/2017 09:08

Ah yeah, give poor Ash a break! His sister just died tragically young and really suddenly, and without (in his eyes) the chance to say a proper goodbye. Of course he's upset and lashing out.

PensPencilsandRulers · 07/04/2017 11:23

It's normal to be devastated in those circumstances but not to punch your brother in law and trash your home and shout at people. He's an angry, selfish arse Grin

MommaGee · 07/04/2017 19:25

I think trashing his house, shouting, screaming in the woods are all perfectly acceptable when your world has just been ripped apart. He's still dealing with the shock of the rape.
Hiring Veej obviously not ok but I think he was waiting for Nate to come and cure her and then Vj goes all Blake and Meg. He's irrational with grief and needs a cuddle from MommaGee

ZackyVengeance · 07/04/2017 19:34

Cel brax went to prison to keep ash out of trouble, all he asked in return was that ash left denny alone, denny was devastated when casey died, so i assume brax knew ash would hurt her.
It would be the same if it was men or woman.
The kyle and phoebe stuff was just karma biting karl on the bum imo

Cel982 · 07/04/2017 23:35

Sure, but - with all respect to Brax, whom I lurrrrve - it's none of his business whom his dead brother's girlfriend decides to date. Denny wasn't tricked into anything, she was a willing participant in the relationship - Brax doesn't get to wield some sort of veto over her decisions.

bottomhangingout · 08/04/2017 14:43

Been away so just started catching up. I knew this was coming (had seen spoilers) but I didn't realise it would all happen within one episode. Was v sad.

Looking forward to seein how it plays out with Ash....

And Leah and Zac will surely split. There's so much resentment there.

ComedyofTerrors · 08/04/2017 20:59

What has happened to the men on H & A? Do they have very few male actors in Aus perhaps?

Zac - Ewwwww week and selfish.

Ash - Fairly decorative but a shockingly bad actor, he does 2 things well, shouting and looking gormless.

The Morgans - I quite like Justin but he really can't act, not keen on Brody, whoever christened him Broody got it right. Morgan, I'd rather not have to think about him.

Hunter - not keen, just something I don't much like about him.

VJ - Blow dried 24 year old playing 18 - doesn't really work for me.

Nate - quite decorative and not a bad actor but doesn't appeal in the slightest.

I quite liked Matt but he's gone.

Bring back Brax and Heath

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 09/04/2017 08:43

Am miles behind - have been away - so loads of catching up to do! However, I am a spoiler hound so know all the stories anyway.

Don't forget that Ash has already had a brother who died, so Billie is the second sibling he's lost. That's going to knock anyone for six - except perhaps Evie, who has now lost her mother, her father, her fiance, her brother, her aunt...

TheWashingFairyatemyhamster · 09/04/2017 22:41

I think the fact that he's Evie's last surviving relative (except Hunter I suppose) and would be the third husband of Leah's to die is the only thing keeping Zac alive at the moment.

Now it looks as though we're going to have to yawn through some dullsville affair he'll have with whatshername the editor just so he gets to do something other than run up and down the beach frowning.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 10/04/2017 08:00

All right,I am nearly caught up - and Oh. My. God - could Leah be any more of a self-righteous, smug, interfering, annoying bitch?!?

And having seen the episodes now, how could your hearts not all break a little bit for Ash when Kat asked him if there was anyone she could call to be with him, and he said "No-one" and you realise that there is indeed literally no-one left in his life.

It did flash across my mind when Kat was so heartbroken about Billie in the hospital that it wasn't that long ago that Billie nearly destroyed Nate's career (and his relationship with Kat) by falsely accusing him of attempted rape. At least they've never had Nate be more than professional to her since - he's always held her at arm's length since then - but she and Kat have been best mates for ages?
