Has anyone considered it odd that Phil went through a sleeping around phase when off his head on alcohol and taking medication. I'd have thought he would have a reduced if any libedo. He could barely manage to stand most of the time!

Noooooo! Another weird Eastenders ep! Feels very strange and flat. Unlike Libby. It looked like she was wearing a dark bra under that drab greyish woolen. Not a good plan. Most interesting thing by miles.

I kept waiting for Babe to throw something in the Chinese buffet or at least make rude remarks because she hadn't cooked it. Nothing really happened did it, apart from Phil using words rather than grunts. Hmmm, not happy with new exec producer.

I was baffled by the weird camera shot of Denise wringing her hands when she went back to the minute mart - I was all, what? What am I supposed to be looking at her rings? Oh we are being shown she's nervous - jeez!

There's a perfectly good dining table at Phil and Sharon's house. Why did they have to have their special, romantic curry in the kitchen?

Also now the bus crash has been swept up, the whole tube train scenes with Tina Shirley and Sylvie were just nothing then, not building up to anything or going anywhere just tosh - bizarre

Really wanted to see Sylvie do her Suzy Wong impression. They should have let her, it would have livened the show up a bit.

There used to be drama and humour in EE, now it is just meh!! Sick of Shaki and Bex storyline. They had a great opportunity for some real drama with the bus crash and they missed it completely.

Laughing about the suggested bra intervention for Libby. I'm thinking Claudette could educate her on gravity defying breast support. Thank heavens she didn't have to run from the Out of Control Bus.

Sometimes I'd like to see Libby behaving like a normal student; getting rat arsed in the Vic, dancing like a loon and getting off with Shrimpy or something.

Now they've introduced the evil Max/Dr Claw plan for Walford domination, I'm predicting they'll leave that storyline hanging and possibly return to it in 6 weeks...

Agree with Optimist forget the nice dining table, let's have a romantic curry in the tiny kitchen, surrounded by clutter and an ironing board leaning against Sharon's chair.

Had high hopes for some horrific accident involving Sharon's hair extensions trailing into a candle for the duff duff.

I like my Eastenders to have everything significant to hit me over the head when it's signposted. Everything now is "subtle" and "nuanced".As iknowimcoming said, what was that with Denise wringing her hands? Anguish about the baby? About the bus crash trauma? Both these things? Or was she not sure what to get for supper having run out of vegan ideas? Is Phil now reduced to forever sitting down? With Bargain Hunt on? What about Glenda coming into the pub to be evilled by Shirley (again), that lead to nothing. No plots, no climax, nothing. I can't even remember what happened at Christmas 2916 and it was only a few weeks ago.

Phil and Sharon's rarely used dining table is in the front room. I remember they had their Christmas dinner around it.

I like that Libby doesn't get drunk etc. She was always sensible. Like Shabnam I suppose. We have the drunk scenes with Shaki and his friends and most EE adults and I like EE showing there are non drinkers in the world too.

The soap has become a bit too much about 'daily life'. The 'drama' when it appears is more 'daily life'. Watching Phil watching tv....I mean c'mon!!!

I agree HoHumming, everything seems 'run of the mill'. There are no real cliffhangers anymore. It's always things like "I'm taking the children to Ongar", or Nuchelle staring at a bottle of vodka.

We need Phil back to normal, Babe being seriously evil. Maybe things will liven up when Max starts to get his revenge on people. Or maybe I'm just living in hope.

Phil watching bargain hunt made me smile - from the square's mr hard man to watching daytime tv, there is no hope.
It has become a bit odd, i am losing interest and i dislike nu chelle , no need for her or her horrible mac to be hanging around
Only one i like is Jay - he needs a bit of a break.
Libby isnt too bad, she is a good influence on her mum and means well.
Bex, shaki and Louise, i really dont care about their Grange hill antics although i felt phil and sharon should have made a bit of a fuss about louise's escape from the bus, it was an ordeal for her.

Mrswhip, me too, i hope the Max story does go somewhere and he turns into a mr evil / hard man type character now and not just dropped, as a lot of the stories sometimes are.
It needs a bit of oomph back

Finally watched the rest of it and agree about Sharon and Phil's romantic dinner in the kitchen with the candles among the clutter 😂. They also hardly touched their food.

Before the "disaster" there was a man in the vic asking about the beer in the morning, then he had words with Kathy in the caffe. Did that story finish? Or has it been forgotten?

Really hate how new age problems like sexting and now "catfishing" are being dropped into storylines every 2 mins with Bex and Louise. I'm sure these things are being covered on CBBC! Don't need them on EE.

Finally, recycling and bins were mentioned courtesy of Jay during yesterday's episode. Who will it be today? I'm on tenterhooks!
