I remember him. He was clever wasn't he. Went to college and that.

HoHumming · 10/02/2017 00:11

Michelle had affairs, married and now likes younger guys. Why then, is there some sort of unspoken thing with Tina (or am I imagining it?).

Babe was terrific!!!!

Bit tired of Whitney looking at her ring-less fingers. Where does she think she will get 180 pds to buy her rings back I wonder? Her wages surely must be paying the bills in the flat seeing as Lee barely goes to work (yet still manages to keep his job).

Anyone else think the cans in the shed were Michelles and not Martins initially (before he admitted they were his).

HateSummer · 10/02/2017 00:13

😂😂😂 I haven't caught up with the thread yet but I am crying at Babe's "I cuuurrsee you"

The writers seem to be channeling their inner Shakespeare now. I mean wtACTUALf?! I'm in tears 😂😂

HoHumming · 10/02/2017 00:13

Meant to add I don't think Jack throwing Glenda out was anything to do with piercing Amy's ears. Surely it was just confusion over the kiss on the forehead and anger over the inquest bubbling over and he lashed out at Glenda?

TheMockingbird · 10/02/2017 05:15

I was joking about the pierced ears.

His overreaction towards Glenda, like anything is her fault really.

Also the misadventure thing. What was he expecting them to say at the inquest? That Ronnie died from being too much of a princess? That her princess dress and princess hair and princess feet were too much for the wicked fairy, who banished her to eternal doom. He's ex-fuzz, he could have anticipated the verdict.

Jack has a weird view of Ronnie and Roxy, like Ronnie was some floaty, mother Earth angel.

youarenotkiddingme · 10/02/2017 07:05

I'm glad someone else noticed the exchanges between Tina and Chelle. In the cafe Tina certainly hinted at Nuchelle enjoying the company if woman better. But we've already had the Sonya storyline so hope they don't repeat it.

The I CUUUURRRSSSEEEEE you was bloody brilliant!

HateSummer · 10/02/2017 07:46

Exactly!

Ronnie was a murderer. She killed a man in cold blood and would've killed Vincent too but got Fatboy instead. She did this without Roxy knowing. I think Jack needs a reality check.

Sleeplessinmybedroom · 10/02/2017 07:48

I've just clicked on that picture of Mick to see if he needs a dressing gown as Dp walked behind me. He shouted stop looking at naked men. Oops. He sulking now.

southeastdweller · 10/02/2017 07:57

Agree that Annette Badland was terrific in the first episode last night. I thought the 'I curse you!' line was the writer's way of acknowledging how much of a panto character Babe had become.

MrsJayy · 10/02/2017 09:40

Caught up I currssseee you was hilariously bad was all going so well before that pish Grin Whitney pawning her rings for a night out last thing they need to be doing is a night out, the rest of the week meh

The80sweregreat · 10/02/2017 09:46

Just seen pt 1.
Did anyone clock ' im still standing ' on the juke box as Babe was going to try and steal the money out the safe. Then the Smiths!
I curse you. Brilliant. She is a good actress, will miss her.
All soaps need a baddie.

The80sweregreat · 10/02/2017 09:49

I love the cases out the window thing they do. My windows wouldnt open wide enough!

mrswhiplington · 10/02/2017 10:36

It's a shame Babe has gone, hope she'll be back soon. When she was talking to Sylvie about pushing Shirley down the steps and then taking her to "see Stan", cruel and spiteful but great acting.

I still don't understand why rain is pouring through the Vic roof when it isn't raining outside!! Am I missing something?Hmm

MrsJayy · 10/02/2017 11:13

I forgot about Denise and we dunno who her mum is an uncle just arrived with a baby and that was that Confused

HoHumming · 10/02/2017 11:17

It was pouring rain when Babe took Sylvie to the canal and when she cursed the pub!

HateSummer · 10/02/2017 11:43

Do you think EE is going to go all paranormal on us now? Like dabbling in the dark arts with cursing pubs. They already do resurrections (zombie walker Kathy). It only makes sense. This new producer is really taking EE to another dimension Confused

Yes Shitney and her pawning her rings for "a night out" pissed me off too 🙄. Then she was being a butch to leek the next morning and made him shit sandwiches. Wth? And her talons were sickening. Imagine all the dirt hidden under them 😷

The80sweregreat · 10/02/2017 11:57

Mrs jayy, i think that the Denise and her parentage story will rise up again in a couple of weeks time - they seem to do this now, leave us hanging.
It has been raining a lot more since the bus crash and the holes in the roof were discovered, but its rain that only does an appearance at crucial times it seems!
i feel that the pub is cursed, the things that have gone on under one roof , i have my own hunch that it will belong to someone else by the end of the year too. Its had its current owners there for too long.
Witless really lives up to her name doesnt she? all that staring at her ringless fingers, get a life and give over the money to Mick instead.

Optimist1 · 10/02/2017 12:00

Does Witney really understand how a pawnbroker works? How is she going to have the ££s to buy the rings back? As I've said before, having spent her formative years with Bianca you'd imagine she'd be a bit more savvy about living on a shoestring.

HateSummer · 10/02/2017 12:02

Yeah the way she walked into the pawnbrokers was like she'd never set foot in such a shoddy place before. Being raised by Bianca it's hard to believe that she's this out of touch.

The80sweregreat · 10/02/2017 12:05

All this ' good wife' thing doesnt ring true to me. She should at least buy a bit more cheese and ham for those sarnies, even if she has to pilfer some from Abi at the pub!
maybe some fake crisps to go with it and a bottle of water.

HoHumming · 10/02/2017 12:15

I think the sandwiches are supposed to portray she is trying to be a good wife, before Lee lets her down again and before she ends up in bed with Mick

MuseumOfCurry · 10/02/2017 12:18

What ever came of The Hospital Kiss?

Akire · 10/02/2017 13:30

I don't know why Whitney makes his sandwiches every day. He's not that incapable! I'm sorry but saying I like pickle I would have told him to make his own.

Still find it hard that one leak means whole roof needs doing surely you could get away with patching it up. Though to be fair no one had every had it re done in the 25y I've been watching!

Totally agree about stupid night out and pawning rings. How stupid is that, there are plenty of things you could do for free or a tube ride away. Why she needed best part of £200 I don't know.

Was confused when babe talking Sylvia she said you pushed me down stairs when I was pregnant with Mik? Or was that just me? They know have 2 free bedrooms at vik, lodger time!

Oh and why was Nuchelle taking honeys kids to school other day? Very odd.

SuperFlyHigh · 10/02/2017 13:32

Witless really is dim (especially having lived with Bianca).

I'm still struggling with story lines and how they seem to present them to us - the viewers.

Does anyone else think they (new scriptwriter etc) either think the viewers are really dim or need things spelled or out are very gullible?!

I mean as if Sharon would just up and leave Denny like that for one! Grin

SuperFlyHigh · 10/02/2017 13:35

Akire was trying to prove how Mary Poppins she is to be able to look after kids not her own (eg Sharon's) and in "rough" Walford.

Not sure about the Babe and Sylvie conversation but it was all a bit muddled and tit for tat.
