The80's I've always thought everyone should have to work a few weeks in either retail or waiting on. They would be a lot more patient and nicer people around if they did. Retail and service is hard work!

Yep - I've worked as a holiday rep, in a cafe/bar and in retail. I think I learnt most of my skills from that!
Certainly things like deadlines, being nice when inside you feel nothing like that and the importance of working within a hierarchy are learnt from it!

Wow the pub stuff is interesting. It must be so tough to run one. I've only ever worked in one part time while I was a student and it's was knackering. Sad to see the old pubs dying off.

The muppet coats are officially called teddy bear coats and were very trendy a couple of winters back. They really are ridiculous.
