Yes I noticed the pwned word too.
My children were being loud so I had subtitles on iPlayer. How is it pronounced? I thought it was meant to say you got "owned." My teens often taunt each other with that.

It was originally a typo used on online gaming or a forum or some such when someone meant to write owned but wrote pwned but then it ended up being used regularly in the place of owned which was used to referred to being defeated.

I too saw it in subtitles. I watch most tv in subtitles. Don't know why, my hearing is fine but I can somehow 'hear' more with additional subs.

Somebody also said 'vexed'. Like it's the 1800s.

Nuchelle taking on Denny and Louise is one stupid thing, but for her to decide to resume her teaching career at the same time is just plain daft, and Sharon is daft to let her entertain the thought. What about when Denny is off sick with chicken pox, or has an INSET day, or Louise gets even deeper in league with the dodgy kids at the high school? Then to add to the madness, Sharon suggests she might be able to put in a few shifts at the Vic! Idiocy.
