Rip Donna's chair.
I hope they do a whip round for a new one for her.
She was so calm.

HateSummer · 25/01/2017 22:09

Hope Whitney's phone is ok

😂😂 that made me laugh

EnidButton · 25/01/2017 22:28

Oh yeah, Max was good although he's screaming shout got on my nips a bit.

Vincent and Kush would be useful if I felt like swooning.

southeastdweller · 25/01/2017 22:41

Hope we find out tomorrow who dies as there's no episode on Friday.

tobee · 26/01/2017 00:32

Meant to say earlier that the best thing about the bus crash was that it was just a normal Monday, not Christmas, new year, good Friday, wedding, Eastenders anniversary or anything. All quite low key.

Just realised the person I most didn't want to die was Donna.

youarenotkiddingme · 26/01/2017 07:22

I really like Donna. she by far one of the smartest characters on EE!

Meercat2 · 26/01/2017 07:26

Oh no! No EE on Friday. Bloody football again

SoTheySentMeA · 26/01/2017 09:05

It was really ridiculous how Kim was running back and forth past the door screaming about Denise instead of just bloody opening it. You can just pull those doors open.

The80sweregreat · 26/01/2017 09:08

i love my friday night EE - with some much sport going over to Sky or ITV I suppose its good BBC has some rights to show the FA cup qualifiers , but it does mess up my friday night in ( most friday nights are in for me anyway, but now there wont be much to watch either)
Witless's phone, that made me laugh too - it did have a pretty blingy cover..
I wonder if she has life cover.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 26/01/2017 09:22

What was that weird scene they showed in the middle of Kim drying up glasses and cutting up a lemon in the Albert? Confused It seemed like an odd thing to do amongst the carnage.

HateSummer · 26/01/2017 10:08

Well if she does die, that'll teach her for going out spending money they DONT HAVE on bloody presents again!

Ilost I thought she was going to pour drinks for the injured? But why she was cutting lemons and limes is beyond me. 😆

I wonder if she has life cover I'm sure sausage must have sorted something out for all of them and told them the great importance of having life cover after marriage.

The80sweregreat · 26/01/2017 10:30

I had forgotten about that scene with Kim and the lemons. my sister is caught up in a bus crash, I must rush to the Albert and cut up a few to go with the drinks I might decide to dish out ( once my lemons are cut into equal slices). makes me wonder what the writers are thinking sometimes.
if nothing else its answered my question that the Albert is now open ( stacy and whit were in it last week, now kim ) so it hasn't been a victim of austerity measures and shut down. phew.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 26/01/2017 10:35

It would have been unfortunate if Kim had given herself a nasty cut what with there being a Major Incident outside. Put the whopper of a knife down, Kim, you're a bit shaky and no one's asking for lemons.

nancy75 · 26/01/2017 10:37

Denise pushed Kim away, she reminded her about saying she was dead to her, I though Kim had gone to the Albert because she didn't know what else to do and was upset

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 26/01/2017 10:42

And what's the betting Babe has noted down the names of the people that had a brandy shot? It'll be going on their tab and she's expecting them to settle the bill by Monday. Grin

Redcrayons · 26/01/2017 10:48

Just caught up, really good episodes, even my teen look up momentarily from his phone Smile. I think it might be Lee rather than Whitney under the bus. He took her phone to check up on her possibly?

Whitney needs a good shake. I know Lee lied and he's not in the right frame of mind, but she's not helping much 'oh no loads of debt and lee earns 25p a week. I'm off up west to buy Ryan a big present' stop spending money you don't have and get a proper job.

The80sweregreat · 26/01/2017 10:54

Most bars have small lemon cutter knives, not that huge thing.
Babe had her notebook out - she wants her pound of flesh from those pesky brandy drinkers - its a wonder she didn't have Abi out the back making one of her pies to go with it. She is good in a crisis I guess, can imagine her in the war digging people out or an air raid warden.
She is still horrible though, they need a few nasty ones in the soap and she fits the bill.

The80sweregreat · 26/01/2017 10:56

Off topic, but good to see Emmerdale win best soap at the NTAs last night, its been Corrie or EE for years now.
( I don't watch it , but people tell me its good)
Danny dyer was there with the 'ole cockney cheekie chappie routine.
give it a rest !

bonfireheart · 26/01/2017 11:16

The car crash episode, Robron in the lake, Aaron's abuse storyline and Ashley's dementia storyline have all been handled with a light touch, respect and sensitivity in Emmerdale and it really did deserve the award. Eastenders bus crash in comparison was like a bunch of low budget GCSE drama students.

HoHumming · 26/01/2017 11:59

Did Babe have her notebook? Oh she is going to bill them for the brandy they all swigged. They will need more brandy to recover from the shock of being charged.

HateSummer · 26/01/2017 12:51

I predicted that they'd all go into the vic and Babe would charge them for drinks. I bet that's what's going to happen! She wouldn't give people things for free. She's a proper bad'un!

EnidButton · 26/01/2017 13:19

EE didn't deserve to win this year. Glad it went to Emmerdale.

I thought the lemons scene was quite good really. It was that thing where something terrible has happened and you don't know what to do with yourself but you have to do something so you do anything you can think of. Like trying to slice lemons with a humongous knife. It could've been better done though and again, was a bit ott. No-one had actually died or been blown up.

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 26/01/2017 13:23

I stopped watching all three soaps two years ago but Corrie and Eastenders crept back in - maybe I should have gone with Emmerdale over Corrie (which is dire at the moment). At least Enders has had good and bad over the last while.

Optimist1 · 26/01/2017 13:24

Like Enid I think that scene was good at representing the turmoil you feel when something awful has happened. In Kim's case I think Denise's rejection was more traumatic than the bus accident.

iknowimcoming · 26/01/2017 13:34

The scene when Kim went to touch Denise and she flinched away from her made me well up, And when you saw Kim trying to occupy herself after Denise had rejected her - thought that bit was actually well done. Do we get a double episode tonight if it's not on tomorrow?
