In the current global climate a bus driving into a market would have brought out all the emergency services not one lone paramedic.

The stairs at the top of the bus were blocked in by the crash hence the kids couldn't use the emergency doors.

Apart from Stacey the acting from most of them yesterday was awful - especially the extras in the background who aren't allowed to speak. Emmer dale recently did a car crash episode it was Oscar worthy in comparison to eastenders yesterday.

I agree a million people were phoning 999 yesterday it was ridiculous a paramedic car arrived.

They send the car as a rapid response unit. Ambulances would be following on.

But bonfire there was a pile up on the ring road!!! Again!!!

The Emmerdale one was great. I don't watch it anymore but tuned in for that.

The ring road before? They go around big towns, unless they mind like the M25??? It dosnt make sense that all police ambulance fire engines would all be stationed miles away with no one closer.

There was a ducumentary recently about the ambulance service and it was a real eye opener as to how over stretched it is so I'm not surprised that they had to make do with the Rapid response paramedic car. If an ambulance is with an existing patient, they can't just abandon them can they?

I'm not sure the fire service or police have that excuse though

I don't think Lee is dead as pp have said no way Linda would not come back for that but it's a good reason why Lee might leave because of whatever happens to Whitney.

Although it did occur to me that instead of Whitney clutching a child, it'd be Lee holding Whitney to protect her and dying a hero.

Or Whitney holding the kid, Lee holding her and only the child survives. but that seems a bit extreme

Short term, leek dying to save Twitney and then her going to live with her brother or Bianca makes sense but I can't see how that'd work long term. Half the Carter's are missing. There's only be Babe, Mick and Sausage grieving and covering up for Nancy and L.

I cannot get over how long the services always take - that is always wheeled out when this big episodes happen. I cannot believe that Phil and Sharon didn't come out to have a look or help out. their place is on the square and, as someone said earlier on here, why didn't they ask if someone had a ladder for the bus, there must be one at the vic where the beer barrels are kept, someone must own a ladder. Totally changing the subject are Kat and Alfie ever coming back. I think the square needs them back! Alfie would have been good keeping everyone calm yesterday Perhaps if the carters go under with the vic; they can bring them back 👍🏻
