A bit of the blame does lay with her - she did push for a flat of their own and did just assume his job was more than it was - a clue may have been when she went to his office last year and how creepy that Oz bloke was - she should have at least smelt a rat then, but she didn't. She could have asked to see his wage slip from the off - finances are just as important as weddings and love!! still, she didn't and now she is getting all the blame, which also isn't fair either. I hope she now realises that the flat will have to go, confront him and make him tell the truth. The robbery was a real low - he is a snivelling git as ding says - but it all can be resolved with some common sense. Mick has paid the debts at least. This whole story hasn't raised awareness of anything and could have been handled so much better really. Depression in young males is a real issue. The only time he acted well was on the roof top car park, sad to say.

The problem is, Lee TOLD Whitney that his pay was double was it actually is. She said it when she found his payslip that it's half of what he he told her he earns so you can't blame her for thinking they had more money than what they did.

And no, they definitely needed a likeable character to have the male mental health issues with. I don't feel sympathetic to Lee at all. I felt so anjoyed for Whitney whe he turned up on her night out then started accusing her. He slept with Abi ffs!

Do people really ask their partners for their payslips to check they are being honest about what they earn? I wouldn't have thought there was much trust there if people have to do this. I have seen DH's payslips but it woukd bever have occured to me to check them in case he was lying about his wages!

If poor old Twitney payed on her I would advise taking him back to that car park and giving him a good hard push!

Surely by now Lee would have twigged he's not cut out to do sales, no harm as it's not many people's cup of tea. Why not look for a new job or work as pub manager or relief worker. He prob earn far more as more hours avaibke to work. He spends most evenings in pub watching Twitney (loving the name) work anyway

I've been puzzling over the dislikable Lee not being good for mental health poster boy problem but I think maybe they want to show tat not everybody with issues is just obviously depressed and listless. As a nudge to viewers to look out for other behaviours that indicate suicidal/not coping tendencies. Ee research is always strong, people!

I insisted that dh and I knew each others earnings and saw a wage slip when we became engaged! We knew each others savings ( i had more than him, thats never changed! Lol) and split the bills 50/50!
I know EE isnt real life ( be boring if it was) but i guess both of them are to blame ( but that set up robbery is unforgivable)

I think they picked Lee because he's ex army so we're supposed to think of him as a tough manly man and they we're trying to show that anyon can get depression. Good idea in principle but it didn't work because Lee is so booooorrrrring!
