So - the boy he was talking to? That was Aaron who is apparently the son of Phil's friend Tony. Tony was a fellow patient at the hospital and also on the list for a transplant. They were both called in when a liver became available and Tony was deemed to be too sick for the op so Phil got the liver. Tony subsequently died.

Glenda's grief would have been more poignant if she hadn't spoken when she saw the hearses, her tears said enough. Shame really that EE always goes that bit too far. Glenda is too pantomine(ish) in general.

I am guessing that Glenda wants Matthew because he is Ronnie's only biological child and her will would be made out in his favour. Unsure where Jack stands if the marriage wasn't consummated but presuming it doesn't make a difference, Jack would be entitled to one third and presumably Matthew although not entitled, presumably would get the remainder?
