Anybody watching?

OP posts:
Oblomov16 · 26/11/2016 22:25

Larry and Wayne having their 'bitch' was not pleasant.

DoomGloomAndKaboom · 26/11/2016 22:26

I am completely with Larry. Martin is an awful immature stroppy princeling bitch baby who's in love with himself. He's putting me off watching - I hit mute when he comes on. If I want to hear sweaky whining I'll upset Joe Pasquale. Martin is like a petulant fucking chipmunk.

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 26/11/2016 22:29

I've decided I really don't like Adam, he's so desperate to win. Anyone noticed how he squealed like a pig in the first 3 trials but when it came to saving his bacon/getting a banquet in the tunnel trial the other day (for immunity), he never made a peep despite bugs and all sorts being thrown on him? Attention seeking little twerp, far more desperate for screen time than Scarlett

Roussette · 26/11/2016 22:32

"See Larry is hungry. He hasn't had a good feed up in a while. He's snapping at the irritating beyond belief Martin.
He was a bit ott but when you're hungry, you're irrational!"

They're all hungry, what makes him any different?!

heartskey · 26/11/2016 22:32

Gone right off Larry, shown his true colours now.

Roussette · 26/11/2016 22:35

Christ alive... I'm more than 40 years older than Scarlett and I could duck under a wall without all that blimmin fuss!

Roussette · 26/11/2016 22:37

Ooops... drink talking... 30 years older!

woodhill · 26/11/2016 22:40

I think Larry s the controlling Alpha male and you would not cross him.

Don't mind Martin

DoomGloomAndKaboom · 26/11/2016 22:41

Interesting fact about martin - he has never been to blame for anything in his life, nothing has ever been his fault.

I think the producers want to keep martin in, if the editing is anything to go by.

CondensedMilkSarnies · 26/11/2016 22:42

Wayne looked a bit uncomfortable at Larrys bitching

squiz81 · 26/11/2016 22:47

I'd like to see more of Jordan, he's been quite amusing the last few nights

Bijouxxx · 26/11/2016 22:48

Poor Wayne, did anyone else think he looked like he was ready to go home?

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 26/11/2016 22:57

I think Wayne will actually win it, and yes I agree he looked uncomfortable about the bitching.

Larry is right though, Martin is obsessed with himself and his ideas and brings everything back to him and what people think of him. I also think he's exceptionally rude to the women of the camp

CakeNinja · 26/11/2016 23:05

Oh Rousette, was more of a musing on a PP mentioning that they've all been well fed and are getting on too well! Martin had a night as king, - few of them had been to the banquet, lots of those things boost morale too. Larry was just being snappy, as would be if I were hungry. I get hangry. No one crosses me when I'm like that.
I'd jump down people's throats for much less than wittering on about straws when I'm hangry!

squiz81 · 26/11/2016 23:06

I've sat here and moaned about Martin (and I'm not living with him!!) so I dont feel I can pass judgement on Larry for letting off steam.

CakeNinja · 26/11/2016 23:21

Oh gawd, watching the bloody extra show again (why do I do it?!) and seen Stacey doing her wooden shimmy again, it's like her token contribution to the show Confused
Feel mean as I'm sure she's a nice person, down to earth etc, just not sure how on earth she got a job as a presenter!
Anyway, thought Danny came across well just then in the interview, I think he was really fine about being out first, definitely didn't get the feel of him having a bad attitude at all.
Have a feeling Jordan or Sam might go tomorrow.

heartskey · 26/11/2016 23:36

I agree Larry would have been snappy because he's hungry, most people would be the same, so Martin would have been justified (cos he was hungry too) in coming right back at Larry pulling him apart like that. He showed a lot of restraint. If someone spoke to me like that I wouldn't stand there and take it.Especially when he was making out that all the others were amazing. Yeah right Larry.

MrsJayy · 26/11/2016 23:54

Really went off Adam he really really wants to win I quite liked him yesterday he was stirring with the chore divy up and he was nasty about it and yes he was squealing and hollering till he had an immunity trial and not a peep from him. I think Larry went a bit OTT at Martin who has become the blame hound I know he is odd but I felt sorry for him. And what did Larry mean by lower middle class snob ?

evrybuddy · 27/11/2016 08:48

'There are amazing people down there Martin - they're all better than you, just like I'm better than you' - gospel according to 'my way or no way, man of the people' Larry.

According to Larry, 'Martin is a lower middle class snob'

I wonder where Larry positions himself in the Two Ronnies/John Cleese sketch?

'I look up to him because he is upper class. I look down on him because he is working class.'

Of course Larry is/sees himself as a working class hero/snob.

I hope that puts an end to his application to be elevated to National Treasure.

I mean, who is Larry anyway, next to those 'amazing' people.

Can you tell he annoyed me last night?

Roussette · 27/11/2016 08:57

Yes true Cake and I probably posted that when I was tucking into a huge helping of steak pie!

Roussette · 27/11/2016 09:04

But.... I went right off Larry at that point. I wasn't that keen to start with but thought he was just plain nasty. What gives him the right to tell Martin that everyone is better than him? To be frank, if Martin felt a bit fragile, that would really hurt... it would hurt anybody being put down to that extent.

Yes, Martin is irritating but he's become a whipping boy and Larry;s remarks were just plain low.

Izzabellasasperella · 27/11/2016 09:14

I agree Roussette Martin has become the whipping boy of the camp.
Does anyone else remember Larry on a show about homelessness? He was an arse on that if memory serves me right.

Roussette · 27/11/2016 09:19

I've always thought Larry was a bit of an arse and never got the love for him, he has managed to elevate his position to a bit of a demi god and I could never work out how. I saw him on the One Show once and my god the presenters were fawning over him like he was the second coming.

To me he is bad tempered and curmudgeonly. He hasn't smiled for ages, he just goes round with a slapped arse face.

Thing is... I know people like Martin. One in particular is married to someone I know.... whenever we are out with a group and he is there, when I got home I always say to my DH ... my god I couldn't be married to XXXX for even five minutes!
Irritating, OTT, won't shut up, daft. But not a bad person.

Izzabellasasperella · 27/11/2016 09:23

Do you think people confuse his character on Gavin and Stacey(lovely) with his real life persona(arse)Smile

MrsJayy · 27/11/2016 09:26

I liked Larry before his they are better than you speech seemed a nice calm man there was no need and they ended up drawing straws anyway like Martin suggested.
