Anyone else watching? I'm excitedGrin

They all drive me mad. I hate how MTV seem to be making the uk teens seem very silly and immature and I'm not sure if it's deliberate or accidental.

Would love to know what Americans think of it

DeleteOrDecay · 07/12/2016 20:57

Seems like yet more of the same this week. More focus on their relationships than anything else.

OP posts:
DigestiveMuncher · 07/12/2016 21:22

I'm glad Mia has got over herself but I agree they all make it about themselves and their relationships rather than their flipping kids!!!

Naomi really annoyed me when she was speaking to the camera saying she's gonna find herself a better boyfriend blah blah rather then spending time with her kid and getting on with it.

DeleteOrDecay · 07/12/2016 21:34

Why does Brooklyn always seem to have a dummy in his mouth? I am not against dummy's, both my dc have/had them, but he seems to have it constantly?? I would love to see his little face without one.

Naomi should be concentrating on her daughter and her career, rather than looking for another boyfriend - she's got plenty of time for all that. She only gets one shot at raising a well balanced human being.

Felt bad for Megan that her party didn't go as planned but I'm not surprised really considering what Dylan did, it makes things very awkward. Did anyone see the preview for the next episode where she announces she wants to come off her birth control? I know she's currently pregnant but seriously. Stupid stupid stupid!

I've said it before but they're all showing their age and I'm kind of annoyed at how they're all coming across.

OP posts:
OhFuds · 08/12/2016 10:57

I've not watched yet but I had been thinking the same about the dummy, even in the photos for the christening invites in all 3 photos he had his dummy in.

Underthemoonlight · 08/12/2016 11:05

I was disappointed that Megan has come off her birth control and now she's pregnant it's evident to see that there relationship won't last especially adding another baby into the mix.

Mia I can understand not wanting the eX there it didn't seem necessary for her to be in present I couldn't imagination sitting there in my ex's mothers house with his gf there.

Chloes BF doesn't seem that into her I don't understand the need to buy why not rent first and see how they get on living together.

I like Amber she has head screwed on and not trying to force a relationship with her child's dad but trying to be civil for her little boy.

Naomi is very immature she can't see she is getting played throughout wish she would focus more on her career and child.

DeleteOrDecay · 08/12/2016 12:52

I think looking to buy is a great plan long term but I think they need to work on their relationship before jumping into anything.

Amber has grown on me over the past couple of episodes I must admit.

OP posts:
Underthemoonlight · 08/12/2016 12:59

Buying is silly at 17/18 especially with a baby. Megan I'm disappointed in getting pregnant again on purpose just glamourize teenage pregnancy Atleast the OGs waited until they were older and educated young girls on my teenage pregnancy

FrankAndBeans · 08/12/2016 14:41

I'm just watching it now but I'm completely flabbergast thinking about who would give them a mortgage anyway? How could he possibly earn enough? I bought my first house at 21 but DP is a very high earner for his age and is definitely not the norm. I assume the deposit would be coming from her Mum.

DeleteOrDecay · 08/12/2016 15:20

I thought the money might come from them doing the show? I agree it doesn't seem likely that they'd get a mortgage at their age anyway. I don't think he earns loads.

OP posts:
FrankAndBeans · 08/12/2016 15:26

Good point Delete although I don't think they'll be earning much, especially during the pilot series. I just couldn't imagine then getting pass the stress test or even potentially the credit check as they are very young to have enough of a credit history. She's living in a fairytale but he seems to be backing away and not pulling his weight.

DeleteOrDecay · 08/12/2016 15:55

Yeah they've got a lot of ground to cover, so to speak before they're in a position to buy. Like I said good idea long term but not really for the immediate future.

Veggiesupremeextracheese · 08/12/2016 19:37

I quite like Mia, despite her silliness! Did anyone else notice her grandmothers house when she went to stay, it was huge, and very classy! I wonder why she lives with Manleys family?

FrankAndBeans · 08/12/2016 20:22

She seems to have grown up a lot now judging from her instagram, she's pointed out how childish she was back on the previous episodes and I've warmed to her a lot from that.

OhFuds · 09/12/2016 10:36

I've warmed to Mia too! It was nice seeing her get along with Erin as it's the best thing for their little girls. Her cramped bedroom drives me mad tho and there is always a bottle of tomato sauce on the unit that I wish they'd take to the kitchen lol

Chloe needs to think sensibly, she definitely shouldn't be buying a house (I don't think she will anyway) but I think she has let herself dream that she'll have a nice house, a son that models whereas her boyfriend doesn't seen interested at all.

I liked when Amber was asked where she seen herself in 5 yrs time and she said "finishing uni and being a social worker" I thought she was going to say married with more children.

Megan is making all the wrong choices, I can imagine her mum and stepdads reaction when she told them she was pregnant again.

I can't even remember the other girls name but she needs to move on from her guy.

notgivingin789 · 09/12/2016 11:25

I'm glad Mia is starting to getpverthe jealousy for the sake of her and Manley's other child. It's good that even though Manley is in another relationship he still plays apart in his other daughters life and how the family take the ex in. As we know, some men and even the men's family would just leave their first partner/wife's children and have nothing to do with them. So Mia should see this as a positive.

Naomi- it's just getting a bit ridiculous. "He does not want you!!!".

Chloe just seems like a spoilt brat. What does she do anyway? Does she study..work? I feel like Megan has that fantasy utopian dream, have a child, get our own house and live happily ever after. She has to realise that sometimes in life plans doesn't go our way or they take time. She shouldn't even be worrying about buying a house anyway!! Rent somewhere if you can and Focus on your ambitions.

Megan- there's not much to say is there? She seems like a nice and a good Mum but that relationship between her and her Fiancé would
Come to an end.

Amber is the most mature from
The bunch , she has her head screwed on! Oh you know the therapist her and Ste went to see ain't we've seen her before? I swear she's quite famous or well know? I can't recall where I've seen her but her face looks familiar.

Gillybean76 · 09/12/2016 12:32

I was just coming on here to post the same thing! I've definitely seen the therapist before. I wonder if she used to be a TV presenter....

OhFuds · 09/12/2016 12:35

I wonder if they'll be a reunion show.

Gillybean76 · 09/12/2016 12:35

Was she on house of tiny tearaways years ago? After Dr Tanya Byron left?

DigestiveMuncher · 13/12/2016 13:26

I have just seen the trailer for tomorrow's episode. It may seem that Megan and Dylan choose to live in a caravan as it shows them looking at new ones Hmm

DeleteOrDecay · 14/12/2016 20:03

Why would they choose that? I know someone up thread mentioned they might be travellers but neither of their families seem like travellers? (Although I don't know much about them to be fair). Also don't they get cold during the winter? I hope the ones they are looking at are bigger than the one they currently live in at least!

OP posts:
DeleteOrDecay · 14/12/2016 20:28

Okay so apparently they can't afford a house... Fair enough I guess? A roof over your head is better than nothing?

OP posts:
DigestiveMuncher · 14/12/2016 21:23

I'm glad they are getting a static rather than a "caravan" least they can be made into proper homes, and will have more space!

LittleMoomins · 15/12/2016 09:36

I feel like I'm the only one who still watches this, to my shame!

I'm just bored of Naomi's parts. I think if Raphael asked her back she'd take him again.

Glad to see Amber starting to make her dreams of being a social worker happen, I've been a single mum and and making the early steps can be really daunting.

Mia, what the fuck! Manley doesn't LET her go out? I'm starting to dislike him a lot. All he does is sit there with a stupid smirk on his face, he doesn't converse (though I'm prepared to accept he maybe camera shy) but when they had that conversation about Mia not being allowed to go out I was so angry for her.

Megan, well I think they're both idiots.

And Chloe started off as my favourite but she is really doing my head in. I don't know how her boyfriend deals with her, she just wants it all now. He actually seems like a sensible lad. He probably could've sucked it up and gone to the farm with a cold but at least he made up the time later. Can't believe she's still going on about getting a house and a mortgage - he's seventeen! Can you even get a mortgage at 17?!

Veggiesupremeextracheese · 15/12/2016 20:50

Yes she's too keen to do everything now!

I'm not enjoying it as much as the American version, but it's still strangely compelling viewing Grin
