New series is back, have to say not much we happened. But jp has serious anger issues and good on ollie for standing up to him. Binky will no doubt go back to him, she has appalling taste in men.

Glad proudlocks back and bouillon next week

Just posting quickly to say I think it's FUCKING irresponsible for the MIC team not to show Binky kicking JPs shit out the park; this is setting an example that it's OK to be spoken to like this by boys and as they are all in their 20s as is the chief demographic that watches MIC then this is sending a message that this shit is to be semi expected as "the path of true love doesn't run smooth".

I hope against hope against hope he's an oscar winning actor because he's coming across as such a cunt right now.

Even if he gets his comeuppance in a few eps it's still shite of the team to send the msg it's ok to tolerate this mind control gas lighting shitty shite.

also agree for younger viewers who haven't had the misfortune of enough life experience to recognise flags of gasslighting and EA it's normalising emotional abuse

I wonder how mummy binks is feeling now that the episodes have aired and she's not just seeing the side of JP that JP shows to her?

The last episode was definitely quite shocking. It's gone from "haha isn't JP a massive twat" to "oh shit JP is a dangerously manipulative and emotionally abusive cunt". As everyone says, pretty uncomfortable viewing. He was even trying to manipulate Julius by saying he was glad he'd come to apologies as that's how he expects him to behave. Who made JP the moral arbiter? I can't believe it's fake.

He also used Julius as the audience to discredit Binky in very true gasslighting style, saying she was making more of things than necessary and blowing things out of proportion, when seconds before it was HIM making an issue about her not aggreeing with him about Ollie

He used Julius to make Binky doubt herself by making her look like a silly over reacting woman in public.. it's fucking real that! I haven't seen that sort of behaviour acted that well outside of real life !

I think that was the most chilling thing of all. Talking about her, saying she's feeling this and doing that when she is stood right fucking there. And she didn't pipe up. Worst of all, she looked like she was embarrassed rather than cross.

I'd have been feckin' raging.

Someone needs to be giving her some of those roids to eat.

Backing Binks into a corner to get her to admit she'd been drinking and then demoniszing her for it. They weren't even back together, she's agreed to hang out at that point and was thinking things through.
I can't imagine its not real because of Ollie's reaction.

Jess and Mytton work well as friends but I don't need to see another girl lose her shit over Jess existing.

She does ramp it up when there's a potential girlfriend on the scene, she goes from matey to flirty with her "just friends"

Alarmingly, I'm not sure how much of it is all
made up - didn't Spencer once explain that the only set up is that they are told to go to a certain pub or place and that's the only bit that's fixed as they then just get filmed with whatever happens there and then. But then that doesn't fit with Millie and how she was meant to have been axed as she was rubbish at remembering her lines.
Anyway, JP is still a manipulative, horribly abusive, twisted twat but hurrah for Steph coming back (but I refuse to believe that she's really banging Joey Essex Confused)

Just caught up on last night. JP made me so uncomfortable, he's trying to stop Binks having an opinion and is controlling everything already. His glare is awful and when she was like 'I've had fun this week with you' I wanted to scream- when???

Mittens and Emily would not be a good combination, she was behaving very oddly. Too much time spent with Toff, one kiss and he mustn't speak to anyone else! I now he's a bit of a dick but still.

Loving the Fred/Liv flirtation. I think they'd be good together.

Bleurgh, possibly the only person in the world who might "deserve" JP is Steph - they could both twist each others words as they ride off into the sunset..

I don't care frankly whether Fred & Liv have anything in common, they LOOK so beautiful together they should definitely do it!

Ok totally agree that it's getting quite dark with regards to JP's abusiveness. HOWEVER I did get a bit of light relief and proper lolled at him shouting "YOU FED HIM A MARSHMALLOW!" during one of their heated discussions.

I really like Liv though I think sometimes she gets caught up in the bitchiness.

Used to love toff but gone right off her since how she behaved over Francis/getting to close to MF and Victoria.

Jess I struggle with because I quite like her until she gets all territorial over men she 'doesn't like'.

Frankie is vile and manipulative. I have a friend who has a gf who bears alarming similarities to her, she started off making him cut off all contact with anyone female and has now ensured he isn't allowed to see any of his male friends either. Can't stand people who do that in relationships! I see Emily being the same.

And bloody JP...there's just no words. However I do think the whole things fake - in RL there might be women willing to accept that sort of behaviour but no one else would be. I'd be with Louise and laughing whenever he made one of his ridiculous comments. I would have laughed incredulously if I was Julius and he'd tried pulling that shit on me!

Also, whys he putting so much pressure on her after he's spent months deciding what he wants. What a dick.

I do think it's fake because the only other couple is, yawn, Young Farage and Watson Jr and Frankie and Biscuits and there's no excitement there ( now that Frankie knows she's not able to cop off with Mittens)
I reckon the producers have told Binks to hold back and for JP to really fight for the relationship. Unfortunately because he would rather have someone like Ollie he's gone over the top with faux jealously and he can't think of any reasons he does want her back. Hence blaming her for everything. He is actually a bit stupid though ...perhaps he really doesn't know how badly he is coming across.
Says in the Fail that they aren't really back together so Binks isn't in that deep I think.

In RL people often do believe the gaslighters that the victim is the hysterical unhinged one.. so it's all pretty realistic IMO

I do think that Emily & Mitten were set up to date by the producers though, he just seems like he's being polite/humouring her, he isnt turning on the full Mitten charm!
