New series is back, have to say not much we happened. But jp has serious anger issues and good on ollie for standing up to him. Binky will no doubt go back to him, she has appalling taste in men.

Glad proudlocks back and bouillon next week

...And would Louise really be so smitten with with Buzz Lightweight?

sheldonesque · 10/05/2017 21:15

I think I would be smitten with buzz lightweight if he managed to give me a tummy/abs like TT. I am a pig in knickers. He would have his work cut out...

rubs jaffacake Buddha belly absentmindedly

She has got yet another picture of a boyfriend in the nuddy in the Mail too. Didn't she do that with l'il fat fonz (wrapped in feet)? Is she on commission?

And you are welcome for the image flower. Admit it though - it isn't that much of a leap! Grin

MiniCooperLover · 10/05/2017 21:26

TT was always slim but drank a lot so prob never had any energy to work out and then Ryan came along and prob managed to keep her off booze long enough to do some training and yes she looks fab now. Ryan does appear controlling but I I imagine being TT's boyfriend is a very stressful position. I notice Rosie is nowhere to be seen now, sensibly staying away.

MiniCooperLover · 10/05/2017 21:28

Julius is absolutely mad !! How can he tell Ella he dodged a bullet and can't trust her when he had to admit after a night out with her he slept with someone else barely what a few weeks before ?!?!?

mizu · 10/05/2017 21:52

Reading the latest on this thread makes me wonder how old we all are Grin

I'm 44 and have watched every series. In real life I'm academic and have a teaching and professional role. What on earth do I watch it for? I love it! Grin

MiniCooperLover · 10/05/2017 22:26

Mizu, also 44 😊 I just watch for the fun and the perfect make up 😊

MsGameandWatch · 10/05/2017 23:34

But Ella tell Julius to STFU and look at himself after his own behaviour at the beginning? She needs a good shake!

MsGameandWatch · 10/05/2017 23:37

JP is morphing into perfect and supportive partner, father to be because he's got nothing to worry about now. Binky is right where he wants her, can't go out on the razz anymore can she? I must admit though, kudos to Ollie and him for putting their differences aside for Binky and the baby.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/05/2017 23:40

Weird how we are on livs team now

Few months ago we hated her for 'pinching' and kissing Francis who was seeing toff

Yet we now love her and hate mimi and Fred

43 here

Destinysdaughter · 10/05/2017 23:51

Ha I'm 50! Didn't discover MIC until 4 years ago and then went back and watched it from the beginning. Love it ( but wouldn't admit it in rl, which is why it's so great to have this thread to talk about it here!) Smile

sheldonesque · 11/05/2017 00:35

49 and have watched the lot Blush

I'm one of the fickle buggers who wasn't taken with Liv but changed my mind. And now I like her very much. don't hold your breath Mimi

msgame - you got that bob on I think.

I watch because I'm fascinated to see how beautiful rich people interact and it is an escape from working and sleeping Smile

lightcola · 11/05/2017 00:36

I'm 33 and I mourn for my early 20s when I watch this.

danTDM · 11/05/2017 10:20

I'm 45 and this used to be my manor Grin so I am nostalgic. I had boyfriends like these. I had 'friends' just like these.

Live on the costa del crime now and have a child and no life! Read the thread as Sheldon is a genius and has me howling! Grin and I love seeing their food.

hoihoihoi · 11/05/2017 12:12

Looks like I'm the youngest here at 27 👶🏾 still feel old watching MIC though and that I've missed out on my posh, socialite years as if they were ever going to happen. I often end up doing my makeup and going out in a dress the day after watching MIC but end up feeling like I look like a drag queen and quickly reverting back to my normal self as soon as I can.

The MIC life is not for me!

sheldonesque · 11/05/2017 12:38

Your manor dtm ? You lucky bugger.

The poshest we got was sticking a sloosh of blackcurrant in our cider. I practically salivate at their cocktails and their amuse bouches of canary testes and fennel air.

We had chips and gravy. Although there was probably testes in the gravy.

sheldonesque · 11/05/2017 13:29

danTDM

Sorry for getting your name muddled. I'm a clot.

I'll buy you chips and gravy as an apology. x

NancyWake · 11/05/2017 15:25

Who's we? I liked Liv from the get go, I never thought she nabbed Francis. He was dating both of them and he chose Toff. Toff thought he was way more into her than he was.

I'm 46. This was very much my life growing up, and all the areas they film in I know really well. But they're a lot less intelligent than anyone I knew, I find it highly entertaining.

danTDM · 11/05/2017 17:00

I'll do anything for chips Sheldon and gravy. Thankyou. A trip to Iceland in Benidorm to get these things is now a treat. Currently craving crumpets thanks to a thread on here.

Yes, those were the days, poncing around Fulham, earning a pittance but still poncing Grin, working in Knightsbridge...

Not so much now.

Love Liv. Hate Sam and Tiff and Frankie to the ends of the earth.
Sadly gone off Boulle and yer man there, Fred.
Have love/hate relationship with weeze. She is so up herself.

So we are all in our 40'?, totes funny. (apart from teeny hoihoi)

Cary2012 · 11/05/2017 17:12

Well I can beat you lot because I'm 55! And like a previous poster, a teacher, so there is no excuse, I should know better, but I love it. Started watching it with daughters a few years ago. I love seeing how the other half lives, love seeing the food, the parties and the clothes.

Find the characters, with the exception of Proudlock and Rosie, rather dim - their collective educations cost more money than I'll ever see - and this both fascinates and concerns me. They also often prove the old adage that you can't buy class.

The really early series were low budget, with awkward pauses and less 'created for your entertainment' stuff, and I actually preferred those. My favourite laugh out loud bits are when they 'accidentally' bump into each other, and act all surprised.

A few series ago, when Binky broke up with Mytton there was footage of her in her bed, supposedly just awake, fully made up and perfectly done hair, waiting for him to call...brilliant.

It's like a really posh version of Acorn Antiques...

sheldonesque · 11/05/2017 18:04

Stiff finally finished me off with their bauble strewn Christmas card, I say baubles. Could have been bollocks or implant orbs. It didn't make me feel festive.

Jamie and Frankie are even more irritating. We all know the boi is an entitled knob but there is no excuse for Frankie. I don't go in for simpering and my grill very much gets got up into when she does that.

I used to love Boulle. Now he reminds me on the men in the street who prance about with a hand in their trouser pockets. You know, the ones who are drawing attention to their surreptitious stroking with a loud coin jingle and a creepy smirk on their face. Creepy uncle territory. All wrong.

My love hate relationship is with the wee boggle eyed henchwoman. I currently like her and want her back. Preferably dragging Lucy with her.

I know I shouldn't watch it but I do. I will take the viewing shame. I loved Crossroads, Crossroads2 and Eldorado. This is just a posh pretty version involving hooking.

sheldonesque · 11/05/2017 18:07

Hooking? Jesus! Hook ups! Ups!!!

What would Mrs Overall say? Grin

NancyWake · 11/05/2017 19:09

My mother at 70 can take you Cary

She rings me every week to discuss the latest developments.

NancyWake · 11/05/2017 19:22

80 rather.

She's not happy with Harry for all the reasons I think he's a great addition.

Cary2012 · 11/05/2017 19:24

Love the sound of your mum!

Would love Mrs Overall and her wobbly trolley serving Mark and Victoria tea at the Bluebird!

EverythingEverywhere1234 · 11/05/2017 20:05

23 here! Harry is amazing!! I am so glad he's on it now, he's like a Hugo Spencer hybrid!
