I think Naga may have got the catsuit vote this week!

erm....yep. Blush

ppeatfruit · 10/10/2016 12:28

LISZ The song that was sung by Michael and Alfie was from one of the best, imo THE best musical ever made, West Side Story.

I was trying to hear it and the bleedin' audience shrieked over it Angry

Yeah a shame about Tameka. She did rather ruin it by showing off that knee support the end imo.

onefleckerlshortofatriumph · 10/10/2016 12:38

I think Danny and Oti are marvellous. I do.

But I'm going off her a bit due to the over enthusiastic closeness when they aren't dancing. His fiancée is in the audience. I would see my arse seeing all that nuzzling if it wasn't part of the dance.

Happiness and hugs - fine. Nuzzling into someone's neck? Not so much. There isn't a need for it when your dancing is so beautiful.

HalloToJasonIsaacs · 10/10/2016 13:51

Tameka tweeted on Sunday morning that she'd "been tangoed". It was slightly ambiguous but the tone was clear. The Strictly spoiler tweet is taken from Strictlyspoiler.com which gets it from the Digital Spy spoiler thread which comes from volunteer audience members (maybe sometimes crew members as well):

MrsJayy · 10/10/2016 13:56

Tameka was on Sunday brunch yesterday all smiley smiley say she was having a great time on strictly know she was out its a bit odd the sunday pretence of live isnt it ?

braceybracegirl · 10/10/2016 14:08

Sunnymeg that's awful isn't it if it's true. Like she is her husbands property and he has somehow lost control on her or other men might be ogling her if she wears tighter clothes. She would only be wearing them to please men obviously not to please herself! Just wrong and depressing on so many levels.

BalloonSlayer · 10/10/2016 16:03

I was a bit Hmm when on Sunday you saw the bit where they come through the door to gush about their scores, and Danny came through the door first and didn't hold it for Oti, just dropped it on her.

Horsemad · 10/10/2016 16:33

I thought that too, BalloonSlayer.

digerd · 10/10/2016 16:46

That song "Somewhere" was sung right at the end of the West Side Story film by Maria as she was cradling her dying lover and many of the audience including me were sobbing.
A film full of great songs and dancing.

morningtoncrescent62 · 10/10/2016 16:53

I'm not that bothered about seeing Tameka go, but I thought her dance in the dance-off was much better than the other one (whose name I've instantly forgotten). What was the deal with the mock-faint and the leg brace? The judges were all laughing so I thought she was joking about something, but apparently it was a 'poor me' stunt.

I thought EB was totally cringe-worthy this week. I didn't find his dance funny at all - I thought the judges were going to completely slay it and I was very surprised when they didn't. Maybe it was funnier if you saw it in person? I just thought it was an embarrassing mess. And his comments in that silly voice were like someone's dad pretending to be cool and missing the mark by miles. I felt sorry for Yvette Cooper having to try not to look too appalled in the audience.

I loved Lesley this week. I couldn't believe how she kept up that high-energy stuff, prancing around the floor with a level of energy that a lot of women half her age couldn't match. Greg and Natalie's dance didn't do much for me, but I'm a huge Natalie fan so I want her to go all the way this time. I didn't get all the tears.

emotionsecho · 10/10/2016 17:55

I think the emotion from Natalie was because the American Smooth is her favourite dance and she was pleased it went so well.

West Side Story is my favourite musical too - I love so many of the songs and dances in it. I sing "I feel pretty" sometimes when I look in the mirror and am sure Natalie Wood is looking back at me (I have a very fertile imagination considering I'm more of a dead ringer for the Wicked Witch of the WestGrin)

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 10/10/2016 21:27

margot a younger looking Kevin Kline, yes, that's it!
Natalie has been with her fiancé three years next month and Oti has been married to her husband (professional partner and German Strictly partner Marius) for four years already.
So I don't see there being any jealousies. All pros and partners are already taken this year except Laura and Gio which us why they're being shipped so hard. (In the past the Strictly curse has happened when either pro or sleb were single at the time not when both were in relationships. The only exception to this being Brendan and Natasha, although she still insists nothing actually happened and ended up meeting her hysband, six months after the show).

Send him a friend request - at worst he would ignore it. Then report back Wink

You must have lots of interesting dance friends.

ppeatfruit · 11/10/2016 10:38

digerd and emotion ref. West Side Story ,I start crying s soon as the dancing begins at the beginning in the gym , the dancing in that film is unbelievably good.

I recommend it to everyone, if you haven't seen it, get the DVD it's re- digitalised and better than ever Grin

Talking about films did anyone see the repeat of Darcey Bussell learning ballroom to dance like Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers , Cyd Charisse etc.? It was good, on BBC4.

MrsJayy · 11/10/2016 10:43
