He is looking very botoxed smooth... and strangely like a young Ray Liotta?!

OP posts:

I posted on another thread that he had been my crush since I was 13, tbf I hadn't seen him on anything for a few years but I turned the tv over when I saw this thread. I can safely say I'm over my crush Grin he was nothing but cringe last night.

I do like his wife on Loose Women tho

MrsJayy · 01/10/2016 10:49

Oh yeah my crush is well and truly over . I really like Ida or is it Ada she is really funny

Shesinfashion · 01/10/2016 10:50

I thought he looked fit and well. Liked his banter. Song not great though. He is a fantastic showman and I expect to be one you have to be a bit of an egomaniac.

atomicpanda · 01/10/2016 10:52

Just googled and found this article about the writer of angels.

raisedbyguineapigs · 01/10/2016 10:58

Yes I thought the anecdote was cringeworthy. And unnecessarily rude. I would rather have heard more from the original 3. It always ruins the dynamic when they bring an extra guest on. Especially when they completely take over. I suppose if RW says he will do your show, you put him on!

MrsJayy · 01/10/2016 11:03

I dont like the music guest popped in at the end either doesnt matter who it is

pictish · 01/10/2016 11:06

Ahhh I have found my people! I didn't watch Graham Norton but I have never had an ounce of affection for Robbie Williams. They played his new song on Radio 2 the other day and as soon as the vocal began I gave a wee shudder and switched him off.
Blech he's horrible.

pictish · 01/10/2016 11:09

Fantastic showman = strutting up and down the stage with his chest puffed out, staring out 50,000 women at once.

raisedbyguineapigs · 01/10/2016 11:09

I don't mind if they have a new or up and coming artist added to the end, because they are normally thrilled to be there, and usually the more famous guests are generous and accommodating and make them feel welcome. I don't like it when they have someone like RW or Elton John on, shove everyone else off to the end and then turn it into a one man show.

Mozfan1 · 01/10/2016 11:12

Second pp, he looks like morrissey's love child

UnGoogleable · 01/10/2016 11:16

I agree he just killed the dynamic - 3 young actors all getting along and laughing together and then the MASSIVE EGO of RW walked in. Even his head looked disproportionately large next to Daniel Radcliffe at the end.

And the wank story... JTs face was a picture. It wasn't even funny it was just seedy and sordid and exploitative and eeeewwwwww. What must his wife think?!

JT also has a massive ego and managed to make most of the show about him, but the other two handled it well. I like Anna Kendrick usually but she did come across as a bit humourless at times as she sat stony faced when everyone else was laughing. And she kept doing that annoying 'run your tongue over your teeth whilst scowling' thing.

I LOVE Graham though - I think he's mellowed as he's matured like a fine wine, he looks better than ever.

FoxesOnSocks · 01/10/2016 11:21

Don't forgetting the gurning and shouting. It adds that star quality the gurning and shouting.

Fabellini · 01/10/2016 11:36

Pop star with massive ego shock!
I watched it on iPlayer after seeing this thread, and I actually don't see what the fuss is about. His forehead is definitely botoxed to the max....but in those circles, show me someone who isn't.
As for taking over and making it all about him...well I think the format of the show did that. Graham Norton was focussing on him, directing all the questions and comments to him. That's what always happens when they bring out the guest who's performing at the end of the show.
The anecdote about "Maureen from the pub" wasn't funny particularly, but I doubt it'll traumatise his children in future years - he said he was much younger, single, and stupid, and it was a time in his life he wasn't that proud of....and it was years and years before he met Ayda and got married.
I'm not a huge fan at all, (as I said, only watched it after reading this) but I really don't think he deserves all the abuse he's getting on this thread, I would feel the same if it was someone else you were ripping to shreds discussing.

MrsJayy · 01/10/2016 11:38

Do you think Graham ever gets fed up of roaring with laughter at his unfunny knobby guests no wonder he has a hooge glass of wine probably needs it.

RunnyRattata · 01/10/2016 11:52

I reckon he'd have to be shitfaced some weeks MrsJayy

UnGoogleable · 01/10/2016 12:24

For those upset that we're 'ripping RW to shreds' - calling him a massive ego and saying his story made us cringe is hardly that damaging, and to be honest I think he can handle it.

I noticed his face looked very strange - couldn't quite put my finger on what was different, but yes I think the shiny smooth forehead was part of it. Botoxed to buggery. But i think JT's looked similar.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 01/10/2016 12:29

I only saw about 10 minutes of it and didn't see RW but thought Justin Timberlake looked absolutely off his tits on something.

EverySongbirdSays · 01/10/2016 13:24

Your first sentence exactly Ungoogleable - Daniel, Anna and Justin were having a lovely time and then....

BennyTheBall · 01/10/2016 13:27

I didn't watch it just because I saw RW on going to be on.

I can't be doing with his wife either.

EnidButton · 01/10/2016 13:43

I don't think he can 'handle it' actually. He went through some very dark, self loathing times and came close to ending it more than once. The ego thing is just a cover.

I thought he was fine. Much calmer than he used to be and almost a bit nervous. Not seeing what other posters are seeing at all.

EnidButton · 01/10/2016 13:43

Although he is fine and happy now obviously.

Fabellini · 01/10/2016 13:45

UnGoogleable I'm not in the least bit upset, and I don't imagine for a second that RW would be either - in the unlikely event of him seeing this - I was just saying that I thought it wasn't a particularly pleasant thread, and that, in my opinion, some of the name calling and insulting was unnecessary. Crack on though.....

BrianCoxWithBellsOn · 01/10/2016 21:03

So we can only discuss people who put themselves on show, if we are fawning over them?

I don't get that at all.

This is a talk forum. Robbie William's is someone who flaunts himself over every spare bit of Tele, social media, anything his wife in labour he thinks will get him noticed.

So, I think discussing him - be that favourably or otherwise - is par for the course.

foxessocks · 01/10/2016 21:52

I have just watched this and I feel like I watched something different to everyone else! I thought all the guests including RW seemed to get on just fine and it's just the format of the show that meant RW was talking most at the end...I didn't think the Maureen story was particularly funny or the bit about the two songs for his kids but he wasn't that bad! I didn't think JT was off his tits either he seemed fine and was funny!

Sometimes the guests can be really awkward or not get on and I usually agree with the majority but this time I don't really get it!

SallyR0se · 01/10/2016 22:58

RW's face though... He was deffo on something. Reminded me of an oul' fella down the pub with his stupid story. The sort that laughs at his own jokes.
