He is looking very botoxed smooth... and strangely like a young Ray Liotta?!

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 01/10/2016 00:00

He looked like Vinnie Jones this evening

And also like Ray Liotta in the Bloodstream video

Always hated Robbie Williams. My h once bought me his cd. It was swapped.

Balletgirlmum · 01/10/2016 00:01

I actually love his new song & video. Very clever how they have integrated the Prokofiev ballet music (Romeo & Juliet if anyone's interested) & how all the rhymes atvthec start rhymed with Putin even if he didn't actually say it.

leccybill · 01/10/2016 00:03

Angels was an absolute belter and I quite like She's the One and Strong but he used to work with a very good songwriter who then binned him off.

The new song is dreadful and I just feel mortified that I was ever a fan.

FoxesOnSocks · 01/10/2016 00:03

Do they use Prokofiev ballet music for The Apprentice music?

SleepFreeZone · 01/10/2016 00:04

I've always loathed him too. Never understood why he was popular 🤔

Balletgirlmum · 01/10/2016 00:09

Yes Prokofiev's Dance of the Knights (Montagues & Capulets theme) is used in The Apprentice

Balletgirlmum · 01/10/2016 00:10

He's back writing with Guy Chambers leccy.

MargotLovedTom · 01/10/2016 00:11

He always looks off his face, never mind just tonight!

Feel is a cracking song though, the only good song he's done IMO.

everdene · 01/10/2016 00:33

I thought JT looked embarrassed about that anecdote too, not sure if he was a bit disapproving because JT has a wife and baby or just because the anecdote was bizarre and quite bleak.

Somehow I can't imagine Justin being wanked off by a cleaner in his heyday.

Robbie is what my mother would call a noticebox.

hopetobehappy · 01/10/2016 00:39

Didn't he rip someone off with Angels. Something about an Irishman writing the lyrics but never got paid or acknowledged for it.

FoxesOnSocks · 01/10/2016 06:34

Angels was written by Ray Hefferman snd was about his dsughter who had dird - the original lyric was ' I'm loving an angel instead' not 'i'm loving angels instead')

That is interesting about The Apprentice music!! I never knew; a fitting choice too.

Oddest thingvabout RW's anecdote was that it was supposed to be his oddest moment with a fan and (imo) it just wasn't that odd (now the part about the roll of tape is cleared up). Getting a wank off a stranger is hardly bizarre!!

What it did show (along with the uncomfortable conversation about his daughter and son) was his total disregarded for others (and women) 'somewhere between 28 to 58' along with how he was described her.

Davros · 01/10/2016 08:10

Lovely Daniel Radcliffe did his best, I thought he was good.

Sparklingbrook · 01/10/2016 08:16

I shouldn't like him but I find him quite entertaining. Blush He is the least worst member of TT imo.

I love Anna Kendrick. Pitch Perfect was on the telly last night, great film.

gallicgirl · 01/10/2016 08:33

Cheers for clearing that comment up Anne. I thought you meant his talking accent!

hopetobehappy · 01/10/2016 08:55

Yes I think he (the song writer) got paid about £7.000 for angels, the song that made RW millions.

Dulra · 01/10/2016 10:03

Haven't watched the episode yet so can't comment on his appearance. I always thought rw had adhd? That would explain a lot of his energetic impulsive behaviour

NewsAt10 · 01/10/2016 10:14

I watched this last night and loved it until RW came on, then cringed through the rest of it.
He comes across as an arrogant knobber.
I'm sure his children will love hearing his creepy escapades when they're old enough to look up his past interviews on YouTube. They'll be so proud of him.

regularbutpanickingabit · 01/10/2016 10:21

Couldn't get past the shoes. Channeling his inner Elton John?

MorrisZapp · 01/10/2016 10:22

Unless the melody also changed 'I'm loving angels instead' sounds much better than 'I'm loving an angel instead'.

Think that was the first dance at about five weddings I went to.

MrsJayy · 01/10/2016 10:25

I just curled up in a ball watching him it was painful the face the shoes the accent the gawd awful wank story Shock and his song is shit was such an awkward Robbie moment i turned it over half way through his song

everdene · 01/10/2016 10:26

YY Foxes - the fact he wrote his daughter a syrupy song called Go Gentle, while the one did his son is called Motherfucker Hmm which I watched on YouTube and to add insult to injury, it's shit.

But that difference in his treatment of his daughter and son is really old-fashioned. I do like Take That and Robbie's done some great tunes (Feel, Love Supreme, Road to Mandalay etc) but he is a bit of a knob on chat shows.

I do LOVE the TT documentary Look Back Don't Stare though, he comes across well in that.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 01/10/2016 10:31

I used to love Graham Norton, big part of our Friday night. But one week I noticed that there's usually only one woman on the couch and she usually really has to fight to be heard. Exactly the same thing last night - Anna Kenrick was funny and cool and doing ok against JT, then Robbie turns up and it became the JT and Robbie show. It's really starting to grind my gears.

And my ears are very much in the huff for me for making them sit through that absolute shitfest of a song.

RunnyRattata · 01/10/2016 10:33

Dulra ADHD might explain his energetic impulsive behaviour but it has no bearing on his being a self serving, misogynistic arsewipe.

RunnyRattata · 01/10/2016 10:40

Just to clarify, I work with children and young people who have various additional needs. I get quite uppy when there's any hint that comments like yours could be taken as excusing unwanted behaviours that are not really related to the additional need. I don't think it's helpful to the general perception of them.
If that's not what you meant by your post then I've misunderstood you and sorry for the derail. It's just that lots of posts were more concerned with his twattishness rather than his impulsive or energetic behaviour. No doubt he'd planned which story to tell.

MrsJayy · 01/10/2016 10:43

Tbf nobody can be heard over RW and he is such an egomaniac that he probably only thought JT was worthy of his time. I used to love Robbie but last night urgh
