Paul Hollywood is a snake!!!

Now for me, I am a fanatical Baker, I am usually knee deep in meringues but am i the only one who's skin crawls when every time they see that snake, Paul Hollywood on the tv. His recent departure to channel 4 has really shown his true colours.

Behind those dazzling blue eyes and that mahogony tan is a self obsessed saddo who doesn't care one bit about his colleagues (the queen of baking Mary Berry and the absolutely hilarious Mel and Sue).

He's desperate to be the next Simon Cowell and quite frankly its pathetic.

Well done to Channel 4 for hiring one of TVs biggest idiots!!!!

Sorry to the Paul Hollywood fans but I just had to get it off my chest lol!!

What does everyone else think?

I agree OP. The space between his self perception and he reality of who and what he actually is is staggeringly immense.

In his head: Sparkling blue eyed, stocky and manly silver fox with a hipster beard. Smouldering, expert in his field. Every man, woman and dog wants to sleep with him. A list celeb.

Reality: Fat old man with blue eyes who housewives could "fancy" as he's a safe option and seemed accessible. Had a massive stroke of luck getting on Bake Off because before that most people didn't have a clue who he was. A sleaze. Always trying to look thinner than he actually is.

I have no problem with the man. Why wouldn't he want to stay employed. Should he not have taken the job because strangers on the internet didn't want him to?

I had never heard of him before nor Mary and where he works does really not particularly interest me.
Great cakes on GBBO, but that's the limit of my interest.

If I was offered a job that doubled/trebled/quadrupled my salary, I would happily slither off and sod all the moaners.

Love Bake Off, meh about him, so no axe to grind, but find people very hypocritical - you must really have a screw loose if your company was closing down and a competitor asked you to join them doing exactly the same thing, but for loads more money and you said no.

Or ready for retirement, like Mary.

So presumably if your employer were selling out to another company and you had the option to either go to the new company or quit your job, you would quit your job? No didn't think so.

It's just a job to these people. Just because they do it in the public eye doesn't mean that it's not still just a job.

But do carry on frothing and embarrassing yourself. ;)

I don't like him.

I don't like the way he dumped his wife and child when he thought he was going to make it big in the US with his new younger lover over there.

And when the yanks couldn't understand his posh scouse and didn't want to make him famous, the younger bit of stuff dumped him and he came crawling back to Bake Off and his lovely wife (who stupidly took him back).

He thinks he is a star of the show but actually he was the nobody when show started, and he still is as far as I am concerned.
