I found the Giovanni and Georgia partnership a bit too skippy and cheerful, I saw him dancing on the Proms recently and he's so much better as a moody character when dancing. Perhaps it will suit him if he gets a slightly older partner this year.

Ooh - I like dark and brooding Giovanni. More of that and he could replace Alijaz in my affections

I watched Greg on a low budget celebrity cooking programme. He is a hard worker and held things together when things went wrong on his team. I think his attitude wil really help him on Strictly. I hope we don't have a run away winner this year although I fear that we might have, due to Mr Young 's fan base.

Darcey looks fabulous as usual, Daisy Lowe obviously trying to get the maximum tabloid attention, and looking at the group shot i'm surprised at how tall Ed Balls is! Think Tameka and Claudia are going to be great and I have a soft spot for Judge Rinder already.

I saw the photos last night. Never realised how pretty Laura Whitmore is until now, she is almost like a doll come to life, very beautiful. I bet she gets paired with Giovanni

Louise Redknapps dress is awful, why have they put her in that frumpy sack? And I'm not impressed that Will Young is wearing a suit and no socks.

Zoe Ball is doing a red carpet Strictly preview programme which will be on the iplayer today.

I think AJ one of the new pros has been earmarked for Claudia, due to height, she's is very, very small. Giovanni would be too tall.

Never heard of T Empson, J Rinder, D Lowe, D Mac, L Whitmore or M Odoom but that does mean I know more than half which I consider about right for Strictly.

I fear that Greg may be a lot like Ewan Thomas (ie, rubbish) and just not get the fact that he can't do it. But I would be happy to be wrong.

I hope Ed does well, I have always liked him - bet Naga will blossom and Ore will be great but not improve enough.

I think Ed Balls, Judge Rinder and Lesley Joseph could be quite good fun!

I'm a bit hmm about Daisy Lowe, think she may turn out to be a bit of a Kelly Brooks, I hope I'm proved wrong.

I had never heard of Jay before last year, he really surprised me and I was rooting for him after the first week so maybe one of this years intake will have the same effect.

Is AJ very short then? GIovanni is only 5'10". Anything smaller would be very short.

I think Greg may be a bit less uptight than Iwan Thomas - he seems so lovely and relaxed I honestly think that he may be the dark horse this year and will win (assuming he has a little bit of natural rhythm ) plus he is very hot

Also think Ore may do really well.

It'll be fun to see AJ and Chloe - I've seen them quite a few times in real life. I think this year might be quite hard for them, they won't really have been allowed to teach before.

Greg Rutherford is rather tasty isn't he. I'd never really noticed before, but when I saw him interviewed on the One Show he came across as really nice, self deprecating and gorgeous!

Disappointed Tom Daley isn't there though.. I agree he would be amazing.

Glad Natalie is back. Am trying to figure out what it is about Janette Manrara that I don't like. Maybe it's her voice.

Daily Mail journalists are just dreadful. I don't think they can have an English GCSE between them. And just a tad over-obsessed with Daisy Lowe's breasts!

I have it on good authority than Janette (and Alijaz) are both very nice behind the scenes. They've just announced they will be doing their own tour next year, I assume this will rule them out of the Strictly 2017 tour?

I agree though that Janette is the weakest pro on the show. I don't think she has any formal ballroom or latin training.

Have met them both (boasty boast) and agree. Both very warm, friendly and chatty. Aljaz moreso than Janette but both very pleasant people. Shame that they won't be on the Strictly Tour though.

I do have trouble with faces, so it might be just me, but do Will Young and Danny Mac look very alike?

The launch show is tomorrow at 6.50 pm Perhaps we should petition for a glitterball smiley!
