yeah, expat. apparently she was a right funny little f*er. loved male docs, didn't respect the females etc. women were for sluicing out, that sort of thing. but she herself felt that she had medical gifts from god, apparently, which pretty much endangered lives every so often. had to be handled with kid gloves... very much a product of her time and highly aware of her legacy.

the OP was open to misinterpretation more than the thread title IMO.

MM, i didn't find the title offensive but i really thought your OP struck an odd tone with the WTF. and unfortunately the first poster to answer obviously read something not-so-pleasant into it, so that may have created a worse impression than you intended, hence the over-heating. that's why i hung back from saying anything, cos i wasn't sure what you'd meant.
also to be honest i don't see what is noteworthy about the fact that the last three were non-brits. the brits were either bullies or fence sitters. the americans were a Jackson peacemaker, a funny, handsome and formerly huge star who was bullied and a beautiful Indian actor who was bullied to a disgusting extent. seems to me that all three are worthy finalists. who would you have had instead?

I have only read the first few posts, so forgive me if I have missed something, but when I saw the last three remaining contestants who were all non british, I said to dh, 'what a sad indictment of our country'- in that none of the 'british' deserve to be in there- which they didnt. Having said that, I think it says a lot for us that we sought out the good in the house and voted the right people to be in the last four.

cbb is just a joke call me a sad arse but i prefer watching bthe normal bb where people can shout bbe bitches shout and fight with out the whole world being up in arms about it
