Just realised it's back!!!

Watching it on demand now to catch up - where's everyone from last year's thread!!?

Can't wait to discover who we've going to love to hate, and who we'll simply just hate, which couple will we like and who do we want to win!!!

FoxesOnSocks, you have to remember that they have probably practised those dishes lots of times, so don't panic just yet, let's wait for the challenge rounds where they might, just might fall flat on their faces when they can't boss any other contestants around Grin

She definitely has issues around dirt and germs so that could really hinder her if they have to do outdoor catering, or on the beach like they did a couple of seasons ago, she is smuggy mcsmug but pride comes before a fall and all that.

I might just be a little bit too over invested in this already Smile

DramaAlpaca · 19/07/2016 11:08

ellenora that's exactly what I was thinking - her food issues might trip her up in the outside catering rounds, and when they do team challenges too if she gets stressed about other people's cooking.

MrsK · 19/07/2016 19:11

Wtf, is she wearing!?

helenatroy · 19/07/2016 19:49

Wtf.. Who are this lot?

FoxesOnSocks · 19/07/2016 21:28

Thank you ellenanora. You are very wise; and right

New crowd tonight!!

I am just started and have taken to dislike several of them from just the brief intros!!

The one in the socks - I think she's going to clash big style with Waspface

OP posts:
MrsK · 19/07/2016 21:43

I only got to the entrée, had to abandon it so MrK could watch highlights of some French cycling thing😤. I think you're right, socks & Waspface are going to clash. Can't say Ive warmed to this group, one couple are very smiley, another couple seem like something out of Kath & Kim

FoxesOnSocks · 19/07/2016 22:14

Kath&Kim (if I've the right ones) seem like they might be quite nice.

I think the sisters will be the nicest; Kissy Couple will just start to grate; Italian Two hat man will make a parody out of being Italian; Socks and the Jock will be Critical and not walk the walk; miners probably likeable dopes.

Yes I have judged from one episode.

OP posts:
MrsK · 19/07/2016 23:27

Me too & I didn't even watch the whole episode

ellenanora5 · 20/07/2016 12:48

Oh dear god there is two of them, Zana and now the Jodie Foster lookalike lady, think she might actually be worse, I can't wait to see them cooking together Grin it will be knives at 50 paces.

Yes the happy in love couple will irritate me I think, the ducks nuts man and his wife look like fun Smile

The mining boys were ok.

DonkeyHotay · 20/07/2016 17:14

Socks and Wasp will clash. Looks like the sisters have a good round. I need someone to beat 96 and knock waspie and boyf off the top spot.

FoxesOnSocks · 20/07/2016 21:57

Here's somethings that confuse me about MKR:

How come everyone has such lovely large seemingly quite modern kitchens?
Same goes with their houses

There's never any terrace homes or flats like on Come Dine with Me type

Other things are

No allergies
No vegetarians

Ever!!

In fact I'd have said up to this series that there's no major fussy/picky eaters either but I think Socks and Waspface as going to end that one.

OP posts:
FoxesOnSocks · 20/07/2016 22:19

Socks is making Waspface seem she had the sweet attitude of an adorable kitten

OP posts:
MrsK · 20/07/2016 22:33

I wondered the same about the kitchens, without fail they have all been very spacious. Regardless of age, occupation etc maybe everyone in Australia has a humongous house?

Every time Kath & Kim speak I expect them to say "look at moy", they do seem nice though.

DramaAlpaca · 20/07/2016 22:36

I'm sure I read somewhere that they don't always use their own houses. Don't quote me on that, though.

FoxesOnSocks · 20/07/2016 22:45

I had wondered that DramaAlpaca, it just seems mad all kitchens are fab. I can kind of get the fact they can accommodate so many with a giant table as they as a general rule use an outside space.

OP posts:
MrsK · 20/07/2016 22:52

I'm almost nostalgic for Waspface, Jodie Sockster was so rude to Manu. That explains why they all have such fab kitchens.

DramaAlpaca · 20/07/2016 23:41

Jodie Sockster really is so rude! Shock

ellenanora5 · 21/07/2016 00:23

Jodie Sockster Grin Grin brilliant

The Italian chaps were great, I like them, and I loved the way one of the miner boys put Jodie in her place, "listen to what I'm saying and hear it" cheeky cow, who does she think she is and then the rolling eyes when Pete was giving the overall score, she gave them a high score to save face, did she think the others were going to give them a low score............she is going to wreck my head!!

ellenanora5 · 21/07/2016 00:31

Yep I thought that about the houses, they sometimes use friends places, there was one episode a long time ago where the contestant said they couldn't find anything as it wasn't their kitchen, they also need a big space for the instant restaurant so if they didn't have that they would have to use somewhere else, wonder do they rent a place for a week or so Hmm.....wanders off thinking about business opportunity for cooking shows that need lots of space....Smile

FoxesOnSocks · 21/07/2016 00:32

She might go, honestly if any of them are going to be a disaster it'll be them hopefully he's evidently got problems with being 'healthy' as has she, but she's got major food issues too.

Wonder if any of thier courses will invoke kale? Can't work out what dessert someone who doesn't eat sweet or carbs stuff might be. Courgette cake made with cauliflower flour or something?

OP posts:
FoxesOnSocks · 21/07/2016 00:34

I made cauliflower flour up. Just in case that's not obvious Grin. Least I don't think it's s thing.

OP posts:
MrsK · 21/07/2016 17:33

Cauliflour, perhaps 😉? If it is a "thing" I bet the Helmsley Sisters use it

FoxesOnSocks · 22/07/2016 13:19

I'm quite suprised no one was killed by chilli intake last night.

There seemed to be a lot going in but very little reaction.

I mean I like spice and add it generously to the tingly tongue level (but can still taste other things) judging the amount going in I think it might have been a spice level of tongue numbing

OP posts:
ellenanora5 · 22/07/2016 18:04

I didn't think anyone would eat the food foxes, all the spices and super hot chilies wouldn't suit me at all, I don't like spicy food, Jodie Sockster tried so hard to get people to like her and change their opinion of her but not one of them fell for it Grin

The desert looked awful, I've seen black rice pudding before on MKR and it looked way more appealing than last nights.

I wonder will Colin be back this series.
