Shrieky has been banned for 2 years. At 29, I would once have said that's her career over. OF course, players carry on for loner these days, but the stigma attached to this must mean it will be difficult for her to play again.

Probably the tip of the iceberg...

I bet Serena is doing a victory dance round the sitting room.

grimbletart · 09/06/2016 18:27

Nadal out of Wimbledon - his wrist .

Raahh · 09/06/2016 19:38

I am gutted, but not surprised. I think he has prioritised the Olympics, he was very sad to miss 2012, and has been named flag bearer again.(presuming he is ok then). Probably a wise move , and at least I wont have to listen to the commentators glee if he he lost in the early rounds.

I will miss him though, and with Fed not 100% , Murray probably tired, and Stan not quite up to speed- it all looks like Djok's Wimbledon, sadly.

I could cry Sad I would love a shock exit for Djokovich in the early rounds!

Morgan · 09/06/2016 23:07

Poor Nadal - hope he is ok for the Olympics . Would love Djok to get knocked out early .

Raahh · 10/06/2016 22:25

Del Potro has got through to the semis in Stuttgart. VAMOS!

my keyboard is playing silly buggers again.Angry

JaneJeffer · 12/06/2016 23:37

Did they get to finish the final?

Raahh · 13/06/2016 20:39

Sorry, been having trouble with my keyboard.
Thiem won this morning, which is great.

Rain, rain, rain messing up Queen's.Sad

Weather going to be a big issue this week, I think.

Well, I decided to take the dog out, whilst it rained on Queen's. Come back to see Stan And Ferdy in action.

The grass courts look so small, after watching RG.

Saw some of the(recorded) Stuttgart final- Ihope cameras on the foreheads of the ball boys doesn't become a 'thing'. Made me feel ill.

ooh, Stan about to go down a set.

I haven't been able to watch much- and I feel a bit disappointed really. I want big upsets just to make it more interesting. I'm worried Wimbledon will be as strange as RG. I miss Rafa.Sad

That said, loved the tribute to Becker, Emerson, Hewitt and McEnroe today.

I've only just found out that Queens is on TV. Watching Andy v Cilic. It's Andy the worst on the tour at challenges?

GrouchyKiwi · 18/06/2016 14:47

*is

CremeEggThief · 18/06/2016 15:28

I watched my first match of Queens this year, just now. Some amazing tennis in the Murray and Colic match, and great to see Goran and Lendl too. I'm amazed Murray managed to persuade Lend back, but it can only be a good thing for him. I have to agree that it's hard to see past Djokovic for Wimbledon this yearSad. I would LOVE to see Fed win and reach #GS18, but in all honesty, I would take anyone over Djokovic.

Raahh · 18/06/2016 20:14

Federer lost to Zverev, and Thiem was beaten by Mayer in Halle. Would have been good to see Thiem/Zverev in the final, a definite sign that the younger players are coming to the fore.

I love Cilic, and it was lovely to see Goran today. He is rocking the silver fox look, and nice beard. He is ageing far better than Boris, that's for sure. Grin.

Twice now, I think Murray has given away the second set, and runaway with the third. Yesterday after he slipped, and I'm not sure why today, because I had to go out just before the second set. I'm hoping Raonic plays well against him tomorrow. He's a nice bloke- maybe Mac will inject some 'spirit' into him.

It was funny (as the commentators said) knowing that Lendl, Mac, Ivanisevic and Hewitt have all been in attendance with their players. Tbh, I'd rather watch the four of them play doubles.
(or just Goran. In his pants).

I think it's fascinating to see who teams up with whom in the supercoach/ super player relationships. I can see why Andy wants Lendl - Lendl lost all those finals so he can really relate, but I don't get Boris with Djok and I definitely don't get Mac with Milos. Edberg and Fed, yes.

CremeEggThief · 19/06/2016 13:56

I completely agree with that, Carabos. The only thing I would say is Boris has never seemed keen on Roger, so that's the only reason I can see him teaming up with Djokovic. I don't think Djokovic really needs him.

Hoping for a good final today. Come on Muzza!Grin

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 19/06/2016 14:22

"After you, Cameron. They're cheering for you."

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww, Milos!

Raahh · 19/06/2016 14:29

I love seeing the kids, it's really sweet.
I'm hoping this is a good final.

I don't really see Mac/Raonic as a pairing, but I don't know if it is a permanent thing, or just for the grass season. Mac can certainly show him a thing or two about grass.

I get so tired of Castle's sycophantic commentary, especially re. McEnroe.

Raahh · 19/06/2016 14:50

Blimey! Mac with Kyrgios would have been disastrous!Grin
