Nishky

Never have liked him. Ever. Just a horrible person.

I can spend hours talking about why too.

#seeyouhereforqueens

Quite right, Hearts

Nishky · 05/06/2016 17:26

Yes. Grass now. Come on Andy!

thisonethennomore · 05/06/2016 17:26

I've promised myself no more tennis watching until Wimbledon.
Thank you for the fun.

MrsVamos · 05/06/2016 17:28

Yy, onwards and upwards to grass season.

Oh my.

I sooooo hope Rafa can get back to fitness and his best, come back and win that 10th.

Apart from the first set, that is the worst I've seen Andy play against Djokovic in a a grand slam for a long time. He was MUCH better than that when he lost in the semi-finals last year. Why oh why did he stand so far behind the baseline and let Djokovic dictate the play? In most of his service games, he looked like the returner. All the more disappointing for such a great opening set. I turned it off as soon as it was over, I'm not watching the presentation.Sad

claig · 05/06/2016 17:29

I don't understand the dislike of Novak. He has a good sense of humour, seems OK. But there is no doubt that he is a brilliant player, and above all it is his mental strength which no one else currently gets near.

People are saying "bring on Wimbledon", but he could easily clean up there too. He has the ability.

MrsVamos · 05/06/2016 17:30

Oh well.

Perhaps England will win Soccer Aid tonight.

Creme

Agree, same here.

So disappointing.

See you all laters.

Cor, RG 16 was utterly shite, wasn't it. Sad

CremeEggThief · 05/06/2016 17:34

Laters, fellow tennis lovers. At least Garbine won...

JaneJeffer · 05/06/2016 17:38

Such a lovely speech from Andy Sad

Goingtobeawesome · 05/06/2016 17:46

I missed Andy's speech. What did he say?

derxa · 05/06/2016 18:07

Love Andy He's just a wee soul.

JaneJeffer · 05/06/2016 18:12

Going he was just so gracious and said he was happy to be part of such an occasion even though he lost.

Goingtobeawesome · 05/06/2016 18:37

That's nice. He'll win one day. Hopefully Wimbledon this year.

derxa · 05/06/2016 18:41

I think he does care what the crowd thinks. Who wouldn't?

Sprink · 05/06/2016 19:29

Well, obviously hugely disappointed, but I must congratulate Djokovic. I don't hate him as some do. But I do love Andy Murray.

See you on the grass, ladies.

AmIthatbloodycold · 05/06/2016 19:54

Well done to Novak. He is unbeatable. Hard lines Andy. Onward and upward, you lovely, quirky, funny man. Smile

AmIthatbloodycold · 05/06/2016 20:22

derxa. A wee soul? Oh he really is, such a nice man

hugoagogo · 05/06/2016 21:17

Oh wailey wailey!

Raahh · 06/06/2016 12:00

Well, rather like the tournament, yesterday was a bit of a washout for me. Spent most of the day asleep. Feeling a bit better today, not so nauseous. Very hot again here, not the best weather for s migraine ( if such a thing exists 😁)

I said from the start it was Djok's tournament to lose. I am not a fan, but there is no doubt he's the best around. Wimbledon will be interesting- Murray is clearly not used to playing so many matches in the clay season, will be interesting to see how he recovers. Wouldn't bet too much against Djok getting a golden slam though. Don't want him to though.

Stuttgart this week ( which Rafa should have been defending Sad ). One child by k at school, 2 still off. Feel like poxy dd2 has been off aaaages.

Oh, congrats to Dustin Brown, who won in Didsbury, at the aegon trophy in Manchester. It's been years since I've made it to a tournament at the Northern, used to see really big names in the old days.

Well, hope everyone is having a good Monday. Hayfever tablets at the ready- we are playing on grass!

Ooh, Del Potro is playing in Stuttgart, think his first match is against Dimitrov. Grigor hasn't been at his best lately, so Juan could have a chance. vamos Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 07/06/2016 08:17

Hope your migraine has gone completely, Raahh.

Hooray for Del P. playing again.

Nishky · 07/06/2016 08:43

Oh yes. Del Potro back is good news!

Raahh · 07/06/2016 14:54

Yay! Del potro won. Shame for Dimitrov obviously.

Am glad he's back.
