I am so confused by what seems to be a lot of young male look-alikes. Who are the gay couple (one with a ginger beard...Jann?). Have we met Lady Edith's boyfriend before? I need to read the re-cap alongside the cast list from Radio Times, and make notes.

Agreed, annoying when a lot of actors look vaguely similar. I thought lady Edith's boyfriend was the DCI who went to Marcellas flat for a beer 😕

Even this thread is confusing me now! When pp mentioned the knicker boss from Corrie, I thought you meant that other one from Corrie. You know, the one in the bakery, that looks like that other one from he bakery. It's all v confusing. They should wear different colour bibs at all times, so we can just refer to them as Aquamarine! Egg yolk yellow! And Shiraz.

And yes, lady edith's chap does also look like that other police one.

So, there are a number of different baddies now. Some of them may have been inspired by the work of the original/main one - and Corrie knicker chap was the chief suspect back in the day. And we know he's about a bit again, even though he lives in Rome.

Anna Friel was banging on about her no nudity clause when she was on Jonathon Ross hence the vest on in the shagging scene I presume 😉

Ah, good point , Cherry. I of course utterly support her choice to not get it all out, but think that the scene could have been written better in that case. Ie we didn't have to see them go at it, they could have suggested enough without showing it.

Unless as bake suggested, she took one for the team so as to showcase Mr Marcella.

I haven't been paying enough attention to this to really understand half of what's going on.

I was hoping it would be a bit more supernatural so when it turned out to just be weird I gave up a bit.

Corrie is the land of permanent daylight. In Marcella it is endless night.

I'm sure they said in one of the episodes that Marcella needed to give her DNA sample as they didn't have it on file from before her career break. I'm assuming they'll revisit this and they haven't done it yet

Can anyone explain why the hell Marcella went to the woods and knew where to dig to unearth Grace Gibson? Did I fall asleep at some point and missed something obvious?

I don't think there is an answer to that grimble that's the weirdness of Marcella, she blacks out, she might have killed Grace, she might have put her there as she was muddy, she might have psychic tendencies and just knew she was there, perhaps she was present at the murder but didn't do it.....
