The recap missed out the murdered cabbie

So the broccoli chopper's (BC) DH was told by Jason to "sort it" and then BC's DH texted slim hoodie guy who is about to lose his kid. He offers him the contract on the guy who was obstructing the Lamberh project (although I'm not sure if we know exactly who he was, do we?). Whilst he's out doing that someone nicks his kid and bag-kills the lady who looks after the kid for free. Is that right?

Any more info on BC's lodger? Also why did BC's DH stumble like he did when he tried to get up from the table. He was also quite breathless when talking to Jason. Is he ill?

skip re the jogger - we saw in the previous week's episode that he is ill (presume something like MND). He also commented to his wife that they need the extra cash from lodger in case something unforeseen happens in future...I understood that to mean when he gets seriously ill/dies

I just can't understand how what the cabbie told Marcella then resulted in him being killed.
He told her in the "underpass" with no one else around. She didn't tell anyone as the info about "a woman" could have been about her.

So no one knew what he told Marcella except himself, Marcella and the brother.
So how on earth did he end up being shot?

Any theories about all this??
I really don't think the brother did it.
So was it Marcella, to protect herself, as she didn't know about Graces necklace at that time, which has of course now exonerated her.

It just gets weirder and weirder...

I'm just hoping it really wasn't the beggar woman that killed graceless Grace otherwise Marcella has landed herself right in the stook.

This is such a weird series with so many oddballs. Sylvie's fella is a creep. Maybe she knew how obsessed he was/is with Grace and hired someone to bump her off. She can't be the killer she doesn't seem physically capable. Nah, that's preposterous her creepy fella is just a red herring. I think.

The pony-tailed dog killer; could it be him who killed Grace. With his hair he could be mistaken as a woman.

The cab driver was shot, not strangled and sealed with a plastic bag. Odd.

I think Anna Friel has a strong resemblance to casualty's and holly city's Connie Beuchamp (Amanda Jane Mealing). Plastic Fantastic facial features. 😶

Could Sylvies fella have taken the sex worker to Grace's place. Let's not forget how he was lying on the bed next to her dress. Blergh, he is a slimeball. Strange how the sex worker had Graces necklace. Can't imagine Grace would sleep with that geezer and he certainly doesn't desire Sylvie.

I'd forgotten the bit about the fugues. The implication is that the one involving Juliet wasn't violent.

Must be why Jason thought it better to send the other 2 children to boarding school. I did think it odd that having lost a sibling, they'd be sent away but he must have though they'd be safer there.

Its all so confuuuuuuuuuusing. My head hurts. Too many characters, and all of them hard to like. Actually I find AF hard to warm to full stop, I don't know why. Although all the work she's had done doesn't help. WHY do actors do this? So annoying when their faces don't move and they are trying to madly emote with their eyelashes.
The husband- could he have done something to their little girl that traumatised M so she can't remember? Agree that it could have been M being carried to the car by her DH's girlfriend (whose name has gone out of my head). Who is dog owning man and has that terrifying eastern european man killed him?
I generally lose interest in things where I don't care about any of the characters, but this is so frightening that it is somehow compelling me to keep watching, just to tie up all the ends.
(Anyone watch "the secret" on friday? I mean who on earth would have a fling with a mad-eyed psychopath who stares in through yr window??)

Yes, you're right. 4 upright candles (fork handles crossed my mind too) and 2 separate tea light ones. Wondered at first if she'd run out of uprights but the 4 were together & did look like they'd been used as they were of different heights. So a 4 yr old.

Gypsy, I'm gonna guess you're wrong about the nutty gingernut. That would seem too obvious. Granted he is a weirdo but I think the killer is going to be someone you would least suspect. I'm actually thinking it could be Sylvies creepy boyfriend or Jason.
Sylvia's creepy boyfriend because I could see him getting together with the sex worker because she is blonde and so was Grace. Maybe he has a thing for blondes.
Jason because if Grace was off her face with the drugs inside the pendant, he could have caught her getting it on with Sylvies creepy boyfriend. Maybe he took the sex worker back to Gracie's flat.
Who else would have access to the pendant? Her half brother? Hmm, could he have killed her. Or what about the half brothers best friend (the nutty ginger nuts boyfriend). Methinks they want you to suspect gingernutter to put viewers off the scent.

Matthew (gingernutz boyfriend) is IT savvy, probably threatened and killed the sex worker as well as Grace.

I wish they could wear name tags , perhaps with a line explaining their link or not to Grace. Her stepbrother and his mate look bloody identical and I can only work out which one is which once I see ginger beard hanging around.

When the dodgy lodger (dodgy lodgy) was being interviewed, I saw the tape recorder on the table. Though he was without a solicitor while being interviewed about several murders. Why no duty solicitor at least?

But - when Cullen confessed, there was neither a solicitor or a recorder that I could see. Suppose it must have been a valid confession otherwise boss woman would have said something but was surprised that neither he nor Marcella had legal representation. What's to stop him weaselling out later saying he was "intimidated"?

So who shot the taxi driver? The only people who know that his mate saw something whilst driving that night are coppers, so is there a bent one? could it be the detective who came around and drank with Marcella a couple of times?
If so they need AC12 over from Line of Duty ASAP...Hastings will sort them all out

She had it because her flatmate(?) who was run over had stolen it from the killer & given it to her.

Why did the half brother go round to see Marcella when he found out she was on the case? I got the impression it was to gauge if she recognised him. I think Marcella could have interrupted an argument between Grace and her brother and he killed her and then pretended to be a woman to frame Marcella. But he didn't realise who Marcella was until Jason mentioned?

I think all of the confusion is setting it up for another series. They'll get to the bottom of the plastic bag murders and Marcella won't have killed Grace but will obviously have a connection and then the other strange happenings will be followed up in the next series. That will be annoying though.
