Re the accent, is she not pretending to be scandinavian or something? I know she is Northern in real life so does have an accent but I just assumed she was pretending to be Norwegian or something? No? Alright then.

ok, the second killer could be the ginger guy, with his creepiness escalating by each episode.The baker still in the frame but omittted in this ep. The jogger may be a contract killer who is now after the difficult Scottish business partner - at least that's what they want you to think (while also giving you an option of him having suicidal depression - a bit cringey tbh to show him doing just these two searches!). I don't buy depression as he is jogging and having sex with no problems! So if a contract killer, he could have also possibly killed Grace - ordered by same source? I did comment before that there must be two killers, there may actually be three as I still think Grace is separate.

'Woman dragging something heavy to the car' as described by mini cab driver - obviously points to Marcella dragging Grace to her car - which really would be OTT, am thinking who else a woman could be? Not Grace's mum I hope - but now that we know her P fancied Grace and that she was interfering in business, it wouldn't be beyond the realms. Of course M could have dragged Grace into the car after G was killed by someone - but to have this much of a blackout? prob not.

Oh I did find it hilarious paying the beggar woman for DNA swap - and vomiting - priceless!

I'm enjoying the whole thing - incl the music, and the grim side of London.

I think (hope) is was one-sided - Jason was certainly genuine about her but maybe she was a manipulator, wouldn't have thought so but they deliberately create twists in all unlikely places.

Could Grace's stepfather be erotically obsessed with her and a cross-dresser? The only evidence I've got is the way he was "grieving" for her by laying her clothes out on the bed next to her, plus the slightly bitchy dismissal of his wife's outfit earlier in the episode as doing nothing for her.

If this is the case, he could be the "woman" witnessed dragging a heavy object into a car by the illegal immigrant taxi driver.

Realistically, I doubt anybody would mistake someone of his build for a woman, no matter how he was dressed, but I don't think Marcella has been outstanding in the realism stakes so far, so I don't think we can dismiss it.

What did she drink that made her sick?

It's very very slow, completely unbelievable. Someone takes a 7 year career break and then with one conversation goes back full time to a senior role?
And what are the kids all about? Why even write them in then put them in boarding school because you don't know what else to do with them? And the husband is years younger than her. It's just rubbish really.

The bloke that plays Anna Friel's husband in it isn't years younger, he's a couple of years older than her.
She's also always had a bit of a strange upper lip, it's a bit mean to keep going on about it.

I'm quite enjoying it actually, although I wish I'd just recorded it all and binge watched it - it would have been less confusing.

The current string of similar bag on head murders, which are probably done by an unknown copycat who didn't realise s/he was supposed to sit really closely and watch the victims die. This person is also the person who ran over the internet girl, which I find odd because aren't murderers usually supposed to stick to the same methods in killing their victims?

And whoever killed Grace, who may or may not be Marcella / Grace's Mother's new husband who has a weird hobby of sniffing clothes.

Marcella better turn out to have murdered somebody for this to be worth it. I haven't taken to her, or to anyone else other than Lady Edith, so unless it ends with a mass murder of every single cast member except her and that other police woman with the hair (who could be the one to actually murder them all now I think of it), then Marcella being carted off for murder is the next best thing.

I think the reason Marcella is so quiet and emotionless is because she's based loosely on Sarah Lund from The Killing. It's been written by someone who wrote dark scandi drama hasn't it? And she even wears the same kind of sweaters!

I didn't understand about the taxi driver scam, and why they were driving different cabs at one point.

The cabbie questioned by Marcella wasn't outside the house - so why not and why was the other man in the cab - the one who saw the body being carried?

I thought that the minicab thing was that one man was here illegally, so couldn't find work as a driver (yeah, right!), so the other one had 2 jobs, but met illegal one under the bridge to drop off/collect car.

So the cctv showed the region of the car that was traced to legally-here minicab driver - except that was the car that his illegal pal was driving.

The writer wrote the Scandi drama 'The Bridge' papaya which had a similarly cold female lead so now you come to mention it there are comparisons and maybe these this type of heroine is his thing?.

I want Marcella banged up for perverting the course of justice. How does she know she didn't kill Grace? Surprised no-one else is checking the CCTV footage and spotting her when she's been so weird about it all and has such a vested interest.

Clear as mud. No idea who half the people are. Only progress I've made is that the brother was in Wolf Hall & the loopy brother in GoT which doesn't help at all. Who is Matthew? And beardy bloke who took the brother to the woods?

What's the point of swapping the DNA when at every subsequent crime scene she'll go to, her DNA will be there but won't match the one on file. If I've got that right.

Also what is the point of having children at all as they don't figure in the plot?
