Is it just me or is Morven THE most annoying character ever?!

TBH I found Serena's tearful moment one of the most moving of all surrounding Diggers' death. I hope the writers don't pass up the opportunity to present her and Dr Army Lady as supportive friends and colleagues - much more satisfying than the romantic alternative.

GetHappy · 16/06/2016 23:21

Yes - I do agree with that!

I just didn't like the fact that no-one was at his funeral. I was only part watching

ChoccyJules · 16/06/2016 23:25

I agree, when the bleeps went off there was practically no-one left in the church. Surely the lovely Diggers had more friends than his dozen colleagues, even if more distant eg from Uni, plus cousins etc. More extras were needed!

I agree. That felt very real, and would be a natural reaction to someone so young dying.

Hidingtonothing · 18/06/2016 02:06

Just caught up, knew it had happened but bloody hell Sad

I don't think Serena and Bernie will end up having a fling. There's never been any hint of Serena being bisexual and I think it would be out of character. Maybe Bernie will make a pass and be robustly rebuffed.

VodkaJelly · 18/06/2016 15:08

I hope they don't make Serena and Bernie have a fling, ..women can be friends without suddenly turning (Serena) bi-sexual, it really annoys me when writers do that. Was not happy with the funeral, where was Morvens dad and brother? Arthur deserved a better send off.

HalleLouja · 18/06/2016 15:32

Poor Serena. It did set me off. Am assuming Morven is staying.

Jac had some good lines. Was it "grief shag" or similar?

Jaynebxl · 19/06/2016 07:12

Not watched the funeral yet. Loved Arthur's last episode. Beautifully done.
Re the series end question... I discovered once when I searched up some Holby info online (Holby geek alert) that they do indeed run in series. Each series lasts a year and flows seamlessly into the next so it's a bit academic really.
Quick question about army doctor person. What happened to her girlfriend? The one who told her she needed to leave her husband. I thought the deal was that she would leave her husband and the two of them could sail off into the sunset.

SoupDragon · 19/06/2016 10:06

I think Bernie dithered too much about telling her husband so the girlfriend left. Then it all came out when Bernie emailed the wrong Dominic Copeland telling him not to say anything - it was round the hospital in minutes and the husband found out.

Jaynebxl · 20/06/2016 07:39

Thanks for that.
Finally watched the funeral EP last night. I felt a bit annoyed that all Arthur's work mates left for the emergency. Surely there must have been other doctors working the wards while they were away? Only it didn't look like it since when they got back to the hosp it was just all of them.

LarrytheCucumber · 20/06/2016 17:30

Did we find out the name of Arthur's father? I missed the first part until my friend texted to see if I was watching.
I today agree re Serena and Bernie. Women do have close supportive friendships and bringing in a sexual element would spoil that.

gingerhobo48 · 28/06/2016 22:54

I would so want Hansen to be my boss.I love him but I'm also scared of him.I loved the scenes with Dom. I knew he would fix the boat. I just find Hansen . . . delicious. I seem to get ridiculously excited when I see him (over invested I know) Can't stand Sasha and Essie, they really irritate me.

gingerhobo48 · 28/06/2016 23:01

When Dom said " I still love him", I started to blub (again).

Hushabyelullaby · 28/06/2016 23:45

Oh my goodness Dom's reaction after he sailed the ship had me in bits. He can certainly act emotional!

gingerhobo48 · 29/06/2016 07:01

I know, and when Hansen wiped his lapel after Dom had snotted all over it.

CheesecakeWarrior · 29/06/2016 15:05

Oh I loved Hansen finishing the ship & letting Dom blub all over him. I hope that's their relationship repaired.

Bombaybunty · 29/06/2016 15:20

But is Mo pregnant?

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 29/06/2016 15:28

Hanssen is my all time favourite character - I absolutely bloody love him, he's got it all. Watching him finishing the boat was an actual joy, there are all these different facets of him being shown at the moment, when in previous years he's been something of an enigma.

gingerhobo48 · 29/06/2016 19:32

Yes, BeautyGoesToBenidorm, I agree.

ThornyBird · 29/06/2016 21:49

Aw what a lovely episode. The whole psychic thing, Dom, Hansen and the boat story line was ace but had dd1 and I sobbing yet again Blush

Laughed so much at Oli walking into the shelf trolley thing though Grin

SoupDragon · 29/06/2016 22:18

Hansen is simply wonderful. So aloof yet so caring :)

I think Mo must be pregnant. Was she back looking at anonymous donors or will it be the obstetrician? Whose name escapes me... daft first name isn't it, surname Thomas? Thompson?

CheesecakeWarrior · 30/06/2016 00:30

Mr T Grin Dermid (sp?)Thompson

SoupDragon · 30/06/2016 07:00

Derwent! Is it Derwent?? That's what I always heard I'm sure. I shall have to google... Derwood. I knew it was a odd name.

Anyway... The timing is wrong for it to be him isn't it? I wanted them to get together.
